This is Abigail. 🙌

Back in 2024, Abigail took a year out from her studies at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater to join us for the Cliff Year, and she just keeps coming back!

Since her time here, she has gone on to graduate with a degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, and she’s now heading off to tackle her Master’s degree at the University of Central Missouri. 🎓✨

Abigail’s story is exactly what we mean when we talk about a year of transformation. Taking intentional time to focus on faith, community, and discipleship doesn't press pause on your future - it fuels it, shaping you into a confident ambassador of Jesus' joyful news ready for whatever comes next.

Yesterday some of our staff, students and alumni took part in the Arthur Rank Centre Rural Roadshow in Bakewell - a great day of insight into ministry across our area and beyond, leadership in the rural church and an insight into some of the challenges farmers and those working in agriculture face. A big thank you to everyone involved in the day and to Westhill Endowment for making it possible.

Cliff College regularly hosts training by the Arthur Rank Centre, including their Germinate Leaders programme and the new Rural and Wild programme - if you are involved in ministry in a rural context, or interested in finding out more then we highly recommend getting in touch with them

Ali is a third-year student on our BA Theology and Mission programme, and today he handed in his dissertation!

This week, in Belfast, four of our Cliff students - Cheryl, Jackie, Jennifer and Ruth - were ordained as presbyters in the Methodist Church in Ireland. One of our trustees, Rev Dr Janet Unsworth, was also installed as the new President of Conference of the Methodist Church in Ireland. Please join us in praying for Cheryl, Jackie, Jennifer, Ruth and Janet!

Last week, we bid farewell to this year's incredible Cliff Year cohort over afternoon tea, sharing lovely stories and memories.

Ben, Connor, Dom, Ellie, Joy, Maggie, and Megan have truly made their mark with a mission trip to Romania, volunteering at 3Gen and Autumn Soul in Ireland, leading worship across various churches – the list goes on!

We’re so proud of all they’ve accomplished! Please keep them in your prayers as they embrace the next chapter of their journey.
