If you’re able to join us in person, we’d love to see you at 10:00am at Creekside Conference Centre in the Vernon Rec Centre. We’re grateful we can gather together and look forward to seeing you there.

September 3 — An Update from Jason

We have some good news for you — we’re going to be able to gather as a church family this Sunday, September 6. We’ll have one service at 10:00am at the Creekside Conference Centre, located in the Rec Centre here in Vernon (3310 37 Avenue).
We’re so looking forward to being together for a time of worship and prayer!

And another piece of good news: our Local Outreach programs will resume Thursday, September 10.

God is good, and we’re still celebrating the good amongst the hard.
 
This past weekend, we got to celebrate 25 people being baptized at the lake as they publicly declared their faith in Jesus.
 
What a beautiful reminder that even in difficult and uncertain times, God is still moving, lives are being changed, and there is still so much to celebrate.
 
We’ll share an update about our weekend services shortly.

FIRE UPDATE

The fire at Vernon Alliance Church is out. We’re incredibly grateful that everyone is safe, and we’re so thankful for the prayers and support we’ve received tonight.
We have limited details at this time, but we know that the building has sustained substantial damage. Our offices will remain closed until further notice.
We’ll continue to share updates as we learn more. Thank you for continuing to pray for our church family, our staff, and everyone involved in responding to the fire.

🚨 EMERGENCY UPDATE — VERNON ALLIANCE CHURCH
We’re grateful to share that everyone is safe following a fire at the Vernon Alliance Church building.
Our building is currently closed until further notice. PLEASE STAY AWAY from the building as emergency crews are ACTIVELY FIGHTING THE FIRE.

Join us at 9 or 11 AM at Vernon Alliance Church, where we’ll hear the stories of 18+ people making a public declaration of their faith in Jesus and celebrate with them.
Then, we’ll head to Kin Beach on Okanagan Lake at 1:30 PM for the baptisms.

UPDATE FROM OUR NEPAL PARTNERS

A devastating flood has impacted communities in northern Nepal after an avalanche/ice-dam burst across the border in Tibet on August 26.

Approximately 800 people are currently reported missing, with homes, bridges, infrastructure, and other essential resources damaged or destroyed.

Our partners at Beautiful Gate are responding as designated first responders, providing food, shelter, and hygiene supplies to those most vulnerable—particularly People with Disabilities.

CMA has made an initial commitment of $10,000 toward the emergency response, and we can join them.

Please pray. Please give.

Pray for those who are missing, those who have lost loved ones and homes, and for wisdom and coordination among those responding.

Give to help Beautiful Gate provide immediate, practical assistance to affected communities.

Our community is coming together to support those impacted by the wildfires.
We’re grateful for Oakwyn Realty’s response in providing essential supplies for individuals and families who have been impacted or displaced by the wildfires. We’re sharing this information to help connect those who need support with available resources, and those who are looking for ways to serve with opportunities to help.

If you’re able to volunteer, Oakwyn Realty is looking for people to help sort and organize donations and assist with their response efforts.

Please join us in praying for those impacted, the firefighters and emergency responders, and everyone working to support our community during this time.
