Please note that our regular Come and See Bible study gathering on Tuesday, June 2 from 7:00–8:30 pm will be replaced this week by the Bella Vista Church Christian Education Townhall Info Night hosted together with the Canadian Christian Education Movement (CCEM).

As we have been seeking The Lord together through prayer, fasting, and His Word, we feel Him continually drawing our attention toward the responsibility of raising up the next generation in truth, faith, and discipleship. Through Joel, we see The Lord promising to pour out His Spirit upon all flesh — sons and daughters prophesying, young men seeing visions, and old men dreaming dreams. We also continue seeing through 2 Chronicles 7:14 the call for God’s people to humble themselves, pray, seek His face, and turn back to Him.

Throughout Scripture, teaching the next generation and making disciples has always been part of God’s heart for His people. Jesus commands us to “go and make disciples,” and we believe the church has an important responsibility not only to care for the present generation, but also to help prepare and disciple the generations that follow.

This evening will be an opportunity to learn about educational trends in Canada, hear from Greg Needham (CCEM), Pastor Kevin, and Pastor Timothy, ask questions, and explore ways churches, parents, educators, and believers can thoughtfully engage in Christian education moving forward.

This gathering is open not only to Bella Vista Church, but also to anyone from the wider community or other churches who feels The Lord stirring their heart in this area and would like to learn more, pray, ask questions, and participate in the conversation.

Coffee and tea will be served, and everyone is welcome to attend.

We are excited to be starting our third set of ESL (English as a Second Language) classes this June. It has been a blessing to see the relationships that have already been formed through this ministry and the opportunities it has created to serve and connect with people in our community.

Our desire continues to be to provide a welcoming and encouraging environment where people can grow in their English skills, build friendships, and experience the love of Christ through genuine community.

If you are interested in helping, volunteering, or learning more about the ESL ministry, please see us after the church service. We would love for you to be a part of what The Lord is continuing to do through this outreach.

📢 Third ESL Session Update at Bella Vista Church (BVC)

Interested in joining our ESL classes? Feel free to send us a DM for registration details, class information, or any questions you may have! 😊 Whether you are a newcomer looking to improve daily English communication or simply hoping to gain more confidence in speaking, everyone is welcome!

As this is already the third session of our English classes at Bella Vista Church (BVC), we are excited to continue learning together!

1️⃣ 5-Week Session (5 Classes Total)
The next session will run for 5 weeks (5 classes total), with the first class starting on June 1st. If participants would like additional speaking practice opportunities, please feel free to contact us before the end of the first class.

2️⃣ Practical & Real-Life English
The course will continue to focus on practical, real-life conversational English. This session will also include social etiquette and cultural communication, such as greeting neighbors, interacting with coworkers in the workplace, and other helpful daily-life communication skills to support newcomers in adapting to local life.

3️⃣ Class Schedule
📍 Monday evenings: 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
📍 Wednesday evenings: 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM (Tentative)

4️⃣ Suggested Donation
💰 $8 per class (2 hours)
If classes increase to twice per week, the suggested donation will be $12 per week (2 classes), totaling $60 for the full session.
For participants attending once per week, the suggested total donation will be $40.

5️⃣ English Speaking Support
Bella Vista Church currently has 5–6 resident volunteer English-speaking instructors available to help participants improve their conversational skills.

We look forward to seeing familiar faces from previous classes again while also warmly welcoming new friends joining us for the first time. We can’t wait to learn, practice, and grow together with you.

This session will be led by Natoya Cunningham, a licensed Insurance and Investment Consultant in Canada (Financial Broker). She has been part of the Church of God of Prophecy in Jamaica and Canada for over 30 years and has a background in teaching and business. She now helps individuals, families and business owners understand their financial options in a clear and simple way.

Everyone is welcome, whether you're just getting started or looking to sharpen your existing financial habits. Come learn how to faithfully steward the resources God has entrusted to you, managing your money with wisdom, purpose, and gratitude.

Join us this Easter morning at the cross on the hill behind Bella Vista Church as the sun rises at 6:30 AM. Together, we will worship and hear a message celebrating our Risen Saviour, Jesus Christ.

You’re invited to join our English as a Second Language (ESL) program at Bella Vista Church!

Starting Monday, February 23, we will be offering a 10-week ESL course designed to help you grow in confidence and fluency in everyday English.

This program is led by a certified ESL instructor and supported by additional volunteers. Our small-group format allows for plenty of conversation practice in a welcoming, supportive environment.

We’ll focus on practical topics that matter in daily life, including:

• Banking and financial basics
• Shopping and services
• Everyday conversations
• Community and workplace communication

Whether you are new to English or looking to strengthen your skills, this class is designed to help you feel more confident using English in real-life situations.

Come and See: Learning to Follow Jesus

Come and See is a Monday night gathering where we learn to follow Jesus together. This is a relaxed, welcoming space to open Scripture, pray, ask questions, and grow in a real relationship with Christ. We are not just learning about Jesus. We are learning how to walk with Him in our everyday lives.

Whether you are new to church, returning after some time away, or simply hungry to know Jesus more, you are welcome. Come as you are. Read, listen, share, or just be present. Like the invitation we see in Scripture, this is a simple call to come and see who Jesus is and what He is doing among us.

🌿 A Word of Encouragement 🌿

✨ This Week at Bella Vista Church ✨

In 1 Corinthians 5, Paul confronts sin in the church, but the deeper issue is always the heart. What we truly value is revealed in the way we live, love, and serve.

James 1 reminds us that trials test and refine our faith. Just as an athlete repeats drills or a musician practices scales, we too must keep returning to the basics of our faith:

🙏 A life of prayer
✝️ Putting Jesus first in every area
💖 Loving the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength
🤝 Loving our neighbor as ourselves

It is not our wisdom that takes us further, it is God’s wisdom through the Holy Spirit that grows us in maturity. When we stay grounded in the basics, the Spirit can build on that foundation and take us deeper in Christ.

Jesus prayed in John 17:21 —
“May they be one, Father, just as You are in Me and I am in You. Then the world will know that You sent Me.”
Perfect unity in the body of Christ is how the world sees Jesus clearly.
