New doors. New beginnings. Happy first day of school!

Today, a new chapter begins at Holy Blossom Temple as we welcome the newest students of Bialik Hebrew Day School to their very first day of school in their newly renovated classrooms. And what better way to mark a new beginning than by hanging mezuzot on the doorposts?

Each mezuzah is a welcome, a blessing, and a reminder that Jewish life happens in the places we learn, grow, gather, and call home. May this be the first of many beautiful beginnings 🍎📚✨

Holy Blossom came to cottage country! We gathered in the beauty of nature, we studied Torah, prayed, shared a meal, and made the kind of memories that remind us that Shabbat isn’t about perfect weather, it’s about being together 💙

There’s something pretty special about bringing our Holy Blossom family to the lake, beneath the trees, and around the Shabbat table. Thank you to our incredible hosts and everyone who joined us, rain and shine. What a wonderful way to spend Shabbat.

Yesterday, Holy Blossom Temple hosted Prime Minister Mark Carney as he addressed the growing crisis of antisemitism in Canada. RabbiYael Splansky's video remarks offered a powerful reflection on the importance of protecting Jewish life, strengthening our shared civic bonds, and ensuring that every Canadian can live openly and safely as themselves. We are proud to share her message.

We are excited to announce that Holy Blossom Temple’s Youth Education Centre is entering a bold new chapter this Fall as The Honourable Irwin Cotler School of Holy Blossom Temple!

Named in honour of the Honourable Irwin Cotler, The Cotler School reflects our renewed commitment to raising proud, confident, knowledgeable Jewish children through Excellence in Jewish Education. Under the leadership of Dr. Cindy Kozierok, our new Director of Lifelong Learning, and Lisa Isen Baumal, Principal of Youth Education and Family Engagement, our students will have the opportunity to strengthen their Jewish identity and values.
