THE SUSTAINED MARVELLOUS HELP OF GOD 🙌🏽✨

Pastor Dare Ogunbela brought a powerful word reminding us that our help comes from one source: God Himself.

We looked back at King Uzziah, who was marvellously helped till he became strong (2 Chronicles 26:15). We remembered Jephthah (Judges 11 and 12), and characters like Moses, Jeremiah, David, Naaman, and Peter, all of whom needed and received the help of God.

WORDS OF ASSURANCE:

⛰️ The Everlasting God is the source of this help (Psalm 121:1-2). “I will lift up my eyes to the hills. From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord.”

💭 He is mindful of you (Psalm 8:4). The God of the universe thinks about YOU.

🤝 He knows what you’re going through, and He will help you (Isaiah 41:10). “Fear not, for I am with you… I will help you.”

You are not forgotten. You are not overlooked. The Everlasting God is mindful of you, and His help is on the way.

Lift up your eyes today. Your help comes from the Lord. 🙏🏽

WHAT MUST A BLESSED CHILD DO? 🎯🙏🏽

Pastor Wunmi gave us a clear roadmap for walking as a blessed child of God:

10 THINGS A BLESSED CHILD MUST DO:

1️⃣ Seek a relationship with God (John 15:5)
2️⃣ Love and fear God above all things
3️⃣ Be intentional about growing in the knowledge of God (2 Peter 3:18)
4️⃣ Be disciplined to pray daily (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
5️⃣ Love and fear God above all things
6️⃣ Obey parents, teachers in school and in church
7️⃣ Study the Bible and do what it says always (Joshua 1:8)
8️⃣ Pursue excellence at home, school, and everywhere
9️⃣ Be the future and joy of their family (Genesis 47:7-12; Proverbs 17:6)
🔟 Remember Jesus is coming back to take us to Heaven

RESPONSIBILITIES OF PARENTS:

Parents have a critical role in raising blessed children:

🙏🏽 Dedicate the child to God (1 Samuel 1:28)
📖 Train them early (Proverbs 22:6)
✅ Walk in righteousness (Proverbs 20:7)
❤️ Care for all their needs
💬 Correct in love
🙌🏽 Pray and bless daily

CONCLUSION:
No matter our age, we are all blessed children of our parents on earth and of our Heavenly Father in Heaven (Psalm 1:1-3).

Walk in your blessing. Live as a child of God. Honor Him in everything you do. 👑

BLESSED CHILDREN IN THE BIBLE: SAMUEL AND JOSEPH 📖✨

Pastor Wunmi gave us two powerful examples of blessed children who walked with God and became blessings to their generation:

SAMUEL

🙏🏽 Product of intense prayer - 1 Samuel 1:12-13; James 5:16b. His mother Hannah prayed fervently, and God answered.

🤲🏽 Humble and obedient - 1 Samuel 1:24-28. As a child, Samuel was humble and submitted to God’s will.

✝️ Committed to the things of God - He stayed in the presence of God and served Him faithfully.

💪🏽 Disciplined - Samuel maintained spiritual discipline from a young age.

🙌🏽 Blessed and became a blessing to Israel - 1 Samuel 12:23. He interceded for the nation and led them in righteousness.

JOSEPH

✨ An embodiment of the presence of God - Wherever Joseph went, God was with him.

🌍 Influenced his environment positively - Genesis 39:2-3. Even in slavery and prison, Joseph’s presence brought blessing to others.

Both Samuel and Joseph were blessed children who chose to walk with God, obey His Word, and honor their parents. And God used them to change nations.

You can be that kind of blessed child too. 🙏🏽

BLESSED CHILD 🙏🏽✨

Pastor Wunmi Ogunbela brought a powerful word on what it means to be a blessed child of God.

INTRODUCTION:
What does it mean to be blessed? Proverbs 10:22 says, “The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.”

Children are a heritage from the Lord (Psalm 127:3), and God’s original plan was to bless them (Genesis 1:27-28).

WHO IS A BLESSED CHILD?

A blessed child is:
✅ God’s favored and well-protected daughter or son
✅ Delights in the law of the Lord
✅ Meditates on the law of God day and night
✅ Does not walk in the counsel of the ungodly
✅ Does not stand in the way of sinners
✅ Does not sit in the seat of the scornful

RESULT OF BLESSEDNESS (Psalm 1:3, 127:4-5):

🌳 Fruitfulness - They bear fruit in every season
💰 Prosper in all things - Whatever they do prospers
🍃 Their leaves will not wither - They remain strong and vibrant
🙌🏽 Used by God to do great things - God works through them
🛡️ Defence - They are protected and secure

A blessed child is not defined by their age. It’s defined by their relationship with God and their obedience to His Word.

From Jephthah to David, scripture reminds us that God lifts the humble, strengthens the weak, and establishes those who trust in Him. My help has come from the Lord, and He is still helping me. 🙌🏾

God is not late.
God is not slow.
