Last year, St. Mike's children led us through the Sundays of the Season of Creation by celebrating many special parts of God's Creation: Sky, Water, Land, Living Things and People! During the Children's Focuses, they created the beginnings of a new banner for our Sanctuary especially for use during the Season of Creation. Join us, and the children, this Sunday at the 10 a.m. service to see their completed banner, and for the Blessing of this special addition to our sacred space!

The Season of Creation is an annual ecumenical season dedicated to God as creator and sustainer of all life. Christians around the world use this time for prayer, worship and action to care for and protect creation.
From 1 September to 4 October, Anglican churches join Christians from other traditions in marking the Season of Creation, also called Creationtide, through prayer, reflection and action to protect and restore God's gift of creation.
The Season of Creation begins on 1 September, which is observed as the Day of Prayer for Creation and, in many churches, as the Feast of Creation. The Feast can also be celebrated on the first Sunday in September. The season continues until 4 October, the Feast of St Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of ecology.
This year's Season of Creation theme is 'Living Water'. Join us for this time as we renew our relationship with our Creator and all creation through celebration, conversion, and commitment together.

1 September marks the beginning of the Season of Creation and is observed by many Christians as Creation Day. The Feast of Creation in Christ may be celebrated on 1 September or on the first Sunday in September.

While many churches mark this season through worship and prayer, individuals, families and small groups can also take part through personal prayer, reflection and Bible study.
