RISE

“Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.”(John 5:8 )

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

In our Focal Scripture, Jesus instructed the man at the pool of Bethesda to rise. That man had been in a posture on account of his condition. He had been lying down in Bethesda. In verse 3 of our Scripture Reading, mention was made of how multitudes ‘lay’ at Bethesda. Jesus showed up, and instructed the man to rise from the prevailing posture in Bethesda. Jesus commanded the man to rise from where his affliction kept him.

Friend, in this season, rise from your Bethesda. Rise from where affliction kept you. Rise from whatever posture that your challenges have given you. Rise from every negative posture that your struggles have given you. Rise from every posture that you have taken on as a result of what you have been through. Rise from every posture that makes you look like what you have been through. Rise from every posture that confines you.

Jesus came with the offer of a new season for that man at Bethesda, but He required that the man should leave the posture given him by his predicament. You will not arrive at your new season by remaining fixated on your old season. You will not enter your new season by wearing the garment of your old season. You will not transit into the new by remaining stuck with the wrong behaviors of your old season.

I pray for you: receive grace to rise from wherever you are down. Receive grace to rise from your past errors. Receive grace to rise from places where life’s experiences put you down. Receive grace to rise from wherever you are already down. Receive grace to rise where you kept yourself down. It is also important that you intentionally counsel yourself not to remain down, no matter what or who put you down.

Welcome to that season where you must arise all by yourself. Welcome to that season where the posture of your old season is not allowed.

Ephesians 5: 14 says: “Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.”

Declare With Me: I arise from the posture of the old; I will not stay down, in Jesus’ name!

WALK IN FAITH

“Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.” (John 5: 8 )

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

In our Focal Scripture, Jesus said to the man at the pool of Bethesda, “Rise, take up thy bed, and walk”. Jesus did not necessarily proclaim healing upon the man. He simply told the man to rise, take his bed, and walk. Jesus spoke to him like his miracle already happened. That man may have been thinking and wondering about when he would eventually be healed, but Jesus spoke to him in a tone that suggested that he was already healed.

Friend, I am aware that you may still have your expectations, but maybe you should turn it around and act like your miracle already happened. Act like your congratulations already came forth. Act like you are already in your new season. Act like you have already hit your targets. Act like you have already arrived at your wealthy place. Act in line with the word of the Lord. Act in line with what God has said about your life.

Jesus commanded the man at Bethesda to rise, take up his bed and walk; and when the man acted in line with what Jesus said, there was a manifestation of healing. The man acted like his miracle already happened, and there was a performance of the word of the Lord. Hear me as I hear the Lord: as you act in faith like your miracle already happened, the evidence shall appear. Act like God has done it, and you will see it manifest.

Our walk with God is a walk of faith. If Jesus would speak like the miracle already happened, then dare to speak like you already have your evidence. Speak like God has already done it. Speak like your evidence is already in your hands. Speak like one who knows that God has done what He said already. Speak like the prayers you made have been answered. Speak according to your faith in Christ, and not according to your circumstances.

As you speak in the ears of the Lord, so shall he do unto you. As you walk and act in faith, your faith will birth your results.

Hebrews 11: 6 says: “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

Declare With Me: I will speak and act like I am already in my miracle; I am in my evidence, in Jesus’ name!

NO ADVERSARY NO EVIL OCCURRENCE || 31 DAYS OF AE&M || NSPPD || 27TH OCTOBER 2026

10/26/2026

What a Sunday! What a time in God’s presence!

Yesterday was truly a power-packed service as we gathered under the theme “The Most High Showed Up” to celebrate God’s faithfulness and bask in the abundance of His love.

From our special Pastor Appreciation to the beautiful moments of vow renewal, and our little ones showing up dressed as who they aspire to become, every moment was a reminder of God’s goodness and the beautiful things He is building among us.

It was a celebration of love, family, community, covenant, growth, and above all, the faithfulness of God. We gave thanks for our pastors, our church family, the lives being transformed, and the countless ways God continues to show up for us through one another.

Our hearts are full, our gratitude is overflowing, and our testimony remains: God has been faithful, and we have seen His love in more ways than we can count. ❤️

What a privilege it is to grow, serve, love, and do life together as a family of faith!

NO STOPPING

“The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.” (John 5: 7)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

In our Focal Scripture, while telling the tale of his predicament at the pool of Bethesda, the man at the pool told Jesus about how he would be coming, and someone else would get in before him. So, severally, that man would begin a journey to his target, but would never get to his destination. He would begin a journey, but the journey would stop on the way. Severally, he would begin a process but would never get there.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you will not stop on the way. Your destiny journey will not stop on the way. Your rising will not stop on the way. Your increase will not stop on the way. Your breakthrough will not stop on the way. Your miracle will not stop on the way. Your journey to the top will not stop on the way. Your congratulations will not stop on the way. Your glory season will not stop on the way.

You may have stopped on the way in time past, but as surely as the Lord lives, you will not stop on the way again. In this new season, you will get to your destination. Your family will get to their destination. Your career, business, ministry, etc. will get to the right destinations. Everything concerning you will get to the right destinations, nothing missing, nothing broken.

Powers that insist you will stop on the way, I decree, they are liars. Powers that say you will keep moving but never arrive at your destination, you will never be their candidate. Every power that has arisen to stop you has been stopped by the power of God. Every system of hell or of men that has arisen to stop you has been stopped by the forces of heaven. Every voice that says you will stop on the way, has been silenced.

Your journey will no longer stop on the way. Wherever you have been previously stopped, receive grace to arrive at your destination.

Isaiah 45: 2 says: “I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:”

Declare With Me: I will not stop on the way, in Jesus’ name!
