DECLUTTER & DONATE HELP US RECARPET OUR CHURCH!

Do you have unwanted gifts or pre-loved treasures in good, clean condition? Turn your clutter into something wonderful!
If you have items you no longer need, we would be very grateful for donations to our Pre-Loved Treasures Stall at the St Anthony’s Art & Family Fete. Every contribution, big or small, will help us raise funds to recarpet our church and keep it welcoming for our parish and school community.
If you’re unable to donate items but would like to contribute, monetary donations are also warmly welcomed.

A HEARTFELT THANK YOU

A sincere thank you to everyone who joined us for the opening of St. Anthony’s 25-Year Time Capsule. It was a truly special occasion filled with memories, laughter and a wonderful connection to our parish history.

Our Parish Priest, Fr Emil Ciecierega, together with Fr Stan Bendkowski and Fr Leonard Macionczyk, led us in a joyful Mass before the opening of the time capsule.

We were delighted to receive an email from Fr Boguslaw Loska SDS, who was involved in the building of the Grotto but was unable to join us as he is now living in Scotland. He sent his best wishes and shared that he would be with us in spirit.

Our archivist, Geraldine Rees, was overjoyed to see the collection of treasured items. It was wonderful to share in the excitement and hear the stories behind them, particularly the story of an additional item that had found its way into the capsule! Reading the messages written by the children of 2001, some of whom returned with their own children, made the occasion even more meaningful.

A big thank you to everyone who helped organise this memorable event, prepared the delicious morning tea, and joined us to celebrate this special milestone in our parish’s history.

Over the coming weeks, the items will be scanned and shared so everyone can enjoy revisiting these wonderful pieces of our parish’s past.

We are excited to announce that St Anthony’s 25-Year Time Capsule will be opened on Sunday, 25 October, following the 9.00am Mass, with morning tea afterwards.
We would love to hear from the Year 7 students of 2001. As part of the original time capsule project, the Year 7 students were invited to write a note about what they thought life would be like 25 years into the future. That future has now arrived! And where are those students today? If you were a Year 7 student in 2001, or know someone who was and have photographs or a class photograph, please contact connie - [email protected]. ❤️
