A special thank you to Father Emil for leading us in prayer and celebrating this joyful Mass in honour of our patron saint, St Anthony. We are also sincerely grateful to our altar servers, readers, choir, those who led the Prayers of the Faithful in their native languages, our decorators, and all who contributed their time, talents, and efforts in countless ways. Your generosity, dedication, and willingness to serve helped make this celebration a truly beautiful and memorable occasion for our parish community.

As part of our celebration, we shared in the traditional blessing of St Anthony’s bread. At the conclusion of Mass, parishioners were invited to take home a piece of the blessed bread as a reminder of St Anthony's intercession and blessings.
We extend our sincere gratitude to our parishioner who so generously donated the bread, making this cherished tradition possible for our parish community.

Following Mass, we gathered in the parish hall to share in a bountiful banquet generously prepared by our parishioners. The evening was filled with delicious food, friendship, and joyful conversation as we celebrated together as one parish family.

We were wonderfully entertained throughout the evening by our talented DJ, Lawrence, whose lively music had many of us taking to the dance floor and enjoying his toe-tapping tunes.
It was a truly memorable evening filled with faith, fellowship, laughter, music, dancing, and the warmth of community. We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended and contributed to making this celebration of our patron saint, St Anthony, such a joyful and successful occasion.

A heartfelt thank you also goes to all who assisted with the setup, packing away, and cleaning up afterwards. Your generosity, hard work, and willingness to serve are greatly appreciated and helped make the evening run so smoothly.
May St Anthony continue to intercede for us and inspire us to grow in faith, kindness, and service to one another.

Today we celebrate the Feast of St. Anthony of Padua, the beloved patron saint of our parish.

St. Anthony’s most famous message to the world is simple yet profound: "Actions speak louder than words; let your words teach and your actions speak." Known globally as the patron saint of lost things, he consistently emphasized humility, charity, and a deep, peaceful presence.

In honour of his legacy, Father Emil, together with our parishioners, will participate in the beautiful Catholic tradition of St. Anthony’s Bread. This tradition of giving alms and food to the poor stems from gratitude for blessings received through the saint's intercession and reminds us of his intense love for the impoverished. Please join Father Emil and the parish community at our 6:00 PM Mass tonight for the traditional blessing and distribution of St. Anthony's Bread.

May St. Anthony guide your steps, restore your peace, and inspire you to let your own life be a message of love to others today.

A Feast Day Prayer to St. Anthony

O admirable St. Anthony,
You who are known as the Saint of Miracles, I honour you today on your Feast Day. God blessed you with a heart full of deep compassion for the poor, the sick, and those who are suffering.
You spent your life bringing peace to the restless and restoring hope to the lost. Through your powerful intercession, look kindly upon me today.
Help me to find not only what is lost in my physical world, but also what may be lost in my soul. Restore my peace of mind, strengthen my faith, and guide my steps so that my actions may always match my words.
I place my specific intentions into your hands today... (pause and silently mention your intentions).
Bring my prayers before the Lord, and teach me to live with the same humility, love, and charity that defined your life on Earth.
Amen.

This Sunday, we joyfully celebrated Mother’s Day, giving thanks for the love, care, and sacrifices of all mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures. We also remembered those mothers in heaven, whose love continues to guide and inspire us.
Father Emil led a beautiful Mass, during which we prayed for our mothers and all mother figures. At the conclusion, they were invited to the front of the altar for a special blessing and gifted a prayer card as a small token of our gratitude and love.
We also held our Mother’s Day raffle and are pleased to announce the winners: 1st Prize Maria Scali, 2nd Prize Lucy, 3rd Prize Marlon, and 4th Prize Heather. Congratulations to our winners and heartfelt thanks to everyone who so generously support our parish through our fundraising activities.

Being the first Sunday in May, we gathered this morning to dedicate our time of fellowship to our mothers and all the mother figures who bless our lives. Their love, sacrifice, and gentle guidance reflect the very heart of God’s care for us.
As a parish family, we came together in gratitude, lifting them up in prayer and celebrating the many ways they nurture our faith and our daily lives. It was truly humbling to see so many parishioners attend this beautiful celebration, united in love and thanksgiving.
These celebrations cannot happen without the generous support of our volunteers. A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful men who served, supported, and cleaned up with such kindness and dedication..
We also held in sacred remembrance our dear mums who now rest in God’s eternal embrace, trusting that they watch over us with the same love they shared on earth.
May God continue to bless all mothers those with us and those in His care with peace, grace, and everlasting light.
