The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The Feast of the Assumption is one of two Holy Days of Obligation in Australia outside of Sundays, the other being Christmas Day.
Mary's life was marked by hardship, not comfort, yet she trusted God's plan and faithfully said "yes" to Him. The Assumption reminds us that her faithful life was rewarded with eternal glory. May we be like Mary, trust God's will, give thanks for his blessings, and joyfully share in his work of salvation.

World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly.

Grandparents and the elderly hold a treasured place in our families and parish community. Through their example, prayers and life experiences, they continue to inspire us with their strength, compassion and enduring faith.
Today, we were delighted to welcome back Fr Emil as we gathered to honour our grandparents and elderly parishioners with a dedicated Mass, including a special blessing for all grandparents in attendance.
Following Mass, everyone was invited to the parish hall to enjoy a delicious banquet of food, generously prepared by our wonderful Filipino community. It was a morning filled with friendship, laughter and heartfelt conversation, celebrating the invaluable role our grandparents and elderly play in the life of our parish.
Our sincere thanks to the Filipino community for their generosity and hospitality, and to everyone who joined us in making this a joyful and memorable celebration.

Today we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Bernadette Waugh for her remarkable 19 years of dedicated service with St Vincent de Paul Society WA.
For nearly two decades, Bernadette has generously given her time, compassion, and commitment to supporting those in need within our community. Through countless hours of service, kindness, and quiet dedication, she has truly lived out the spirit of St Vincent de Paul, making a positive difference in the lives of so many people.
Their faith, generosity, and willingness to serve others have been an inspiration to us all. While no words can fully express our appreciation, we want to sincerely thank Bernadette for her unwavering commitment and the lasting impact she has made on our parish and wider community.
