Hey Everyone,
I wanted to share the verse that is being focused on by our team before the night, and how it is informing the vision of the night. The verse is Ephesians 5:15-20, with the version below being from the NIV.
Be very careful, then, how you live —not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The end of these verses are the main focus of the night. We are living in a world that is broken and divided, but we place our hope in Jesus. We are called to worship together in His name, giving Him all our attention and all the praise for everything going on, whether good or bad. I have been really encouraged by these words, as it serves as a great reminder of the power of worship, and the role it should play in our lives as Christians.
