Did you know, we have cool coffee templates and that first time visitors get a free coffee or hot chocolate! I can also confirm that a plate of home made sausage rolls at morning tea takes less than 2 minutes to clear (but I don’t have time stamped photos as proof)!

Thanks to All for breakfast this morning and to everyone who stayed for the working bee. Many hands make light work!

Also thanks to Matt Heath who showed us how the images of the garden of Eden are all through the scriptures and how Jesus was once mistaken for a gardener!

Not pictured in the pictures below all the vacuuming and dusting, the labeling of kitchen cupboards, window cleaning in rooms 1,2,3,4 and 5 and more leaf cleaning. On behalf of the vacuum team, try not to bring mud in on Sunday!🥾

And come along next time. It’s super fun doing stuff and anyone can help. I was today years old when I learned how to remove and clean window screens and replace them and that ladders have different purposes depending on the ladder type.

Did you know that "working bee" is Australian and New Zealand english only? It means an occasion when volunteers come together to carry out communal work: "a working bee was organised to improve the facilities".

Men’s ministry has invited women of the church to join them for breakfast on Saturday 5 September. Woo hoo!!! Breakfast will start at 8am. The breakfast will be followed by a combined working bee at the church for those able to stay after 9.30am.

We also think of our brothers and sisters in Christ who attend the Nepali Church, which meets at Hughes Baptist.

As deadly floods devastate communities across Nepal and over 1,000 people are reported missing, please join us in praying for everyone affected, and for search and rescue teams as they respond. May those who are grieving find comfort, those who have lost homes find support, and those responding to the crisis have strength and wisdom to meet everyone's needs.

We pray especially for our Partners and the communities they support, trusting that God's hope and provision will shine through even in difficult times. 🙏

Today we thought about what our heart houses are like, how God’s love fills us, and we tried “to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ”.

Our youth are awesome. We see them serving in music (see youth band post!), cleaning up leaves, leading in lighthouse kids, serving coffee, serving morning tea, supporting each other, reminding us what joy can look like and what it’s like to be young in the faith and on fire for God.

Let’s support them to go to the State Youth Camp. If you can help financially, contact Marsha Ginn!

Last year they all came back so energised and more grown in their faith, that it was inspiring for the rest of us!!!

Reminder for parents and caregivers:

STATE YOUTH CAMP is on from the 25th-28th of September.

Register in a 2-stage process:
a. indicate to the church your ability to cover costs for your young people or if you’ll need help.
b.register officially with BYM.

Full-price tickets are $270 with the early-bird rate.

If you’re able to meet this cost let us know so that subsidies can be offered to others first and allow all of our young people to attend.

Early Bird registrations close tomorrow Sunday 2 August.
