Spiritual maturity is not becoming more independent.

It is becoming more dependent on God.

The longer we walk with Christ, the more we realise we need Him for everything. His wisdom. His strength. His direction. His grace.

The world says, "Trust yourself."
Jesus says, "Without Me you can do nothing." (John 15:5)

True spiritual growth is not confidence in ourselves. It is confidence in God.

The strongest Christians are not those who need God the least.
They are those who know they need Him the most.

"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding." Proverbs 3:5

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard... the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” — 1 Corinthians 2:9-10
God has called us to more than belief—He invites us into a relationship with Him through His Spirit. What He has prepared for His people is greater than we could ever imagine.
Join us Sundays at 9:15 AM & 11:15 AM. 🤍

The Covenant: Samuel & Saul

Following a failed period of leadership known as the Judges,
Israel rejected their covenant with God by asking for a human
king to lead them. God relented and gave them what they
asked for, but they soon discovered they already had what
they needed; they just needed to follow God’s will rather than
their own.

We were never saved simply to sit on the sidelines. We were saved for a purpose, called to serve God with our lives.

The question is not whether we are building, but what we are building with.

Gold, silver, and precious stones? Or wood, hay, and straw?

"Each one's work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one's work, of what sort it is." (1 Corinthians 3:13 NKJV)

One day every work will be tested. The temporary will be consumed. The superficial will disappear. Only what was done for Christ will remain.

Our possessions, achievements, and earthly recognition will pass away. But every prayer prayed, every soul reached, every act of obedience, every sacrifice made for the Kingdom has eternal value.

Build with eternity in mind.

🔥 Only what's done for Christ will last.

Pastor Jonathan continued our series "Become"... with a message to the downtrodden and the wounded... "You can become more than you wounds".

Isaiah declared, "The lame take the prey." Even those who are wounded, weak, and struggling can share in the victory that God provides. In His kingdom, scars do not disqualify us. Weakness is not the end of the story. Through His grace, brokenness can become testimony, and pain can become purpose.

You may limp, but you can still possess God's promises.
You may carry scars, but you can still walk in victory.
You may be wounded, but you can become more than your wounds.

The enemy says, "You're disqualified."
God says, "Even the lame take the prey."

Whatever battle you're facing today, don't surrender hope. God's strength is sufficient. His grace is enough. Victory belongs to Jesus, and because we belong to Him, we share in His triumph.

The Spirit gives life.

A trumpet cannot sound without breath.
A sailboat cannot move without wind.
And a believer cannot truly live without the Spirit of God moving within them.

The flesh can create form, but only the Spirit brings power, movement, and life.

“It is the spirit that quickeneth…” — John 6:63

Pray for more than routine.
Pray for the breath of God.

The Covenant: Ruth and Boaz

Decades after living in the Promised Land, Israel suffered a severe famine that drove a man named Elimelech and his family to Moab. When his widow returned to Bethlehem with her Moabitess daughter-in-law named Ruth, God provided a husband and provider for her and included her in the lineage of Jesus Christ. The Book of Ruth demonstrates that once again God was extending His covenant beyond Israel’s borders.

This week in our “Become” series, Pastor preached about the power of Spirit-filled and Spirit-led living. The Holy Spirit was never meant to be an accessory to Christianity, but the very power that transforms ordinary people into bold, effective disciples of Jesus Christ.

“Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” — Galatians 5:16

If we are going to become everything God sees in us, it will only happen through the power of the Holy Ghost working within us.

FULL HEARTS ALWAYS OVERFLOW.

When we are filled with the presence of God, witness becomes natural. We don’t have to force it. Overflow happens.

People who are full of the Holy Spirit cannot stay silent about what God has done. Out of that overflow comes testimony, courage, worship, and mission.

“Out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” — John 7:38
