This Sunday at Immanuel, we'll be coming together as Oikos, God's household! Our confirmation young people will be leading parts of the worship with a focus on celebrating our Spiritual Gifts.

Also this Sunday after the service, Women's Fellowship will be hosting a Trading Table to fundraise for LCA Mission Projects, you can bring small items on the day (already priced) and bring some cash for buying.

You're also welcome to bring some food for a shared lunch in the hall afterwards.

This Sunday we are focused in prayer on the coming of God’s
kingdom. Martin Luther writes that God’s kingdom comes without
our prayer, but we pray this petition that God come and rule over
us here on earth and then in the new heaven/earth. We are
praying to be caught up in the vision of God’s kingdom, how
broad and vast is the love of Jesus, of seeing every other person
under that rule, including those who don’t realise that yet. We are
part of God’s kingdom through Jesus, through his being
enthroned on a cross, and we have kingdom work to do, through
our words and actions. We do this work as individuals and
together as church, where we pray the Lord’s Prayer together for
the people of every nation, and for the new creation of Jesus to
come in God’s good time. We pray to already see signs of that
new creation now.

Recently, just under 80 people enjoyed the Immanuel Church camp that was held at Warrambui Retreat and Conference Centre. We had guest speaker Amy Erickson (St Mark's Theological College) exploring with us being fruitful people. There were fun intergenerational activities and lots of bonding. Don't miss next year's camp!

This Sunday, there will be one service only at Immanuel at 10am followed by a brief Election Meeting. Everyone is welcome to stay for a fellowship lunch after the meeting. Please bring a plate of food to share.

You are invited to celebrate Jacob Traeger being ordained to the Ministry of Word and Sacrament in the Lutheran Church of Australia and New Zealand and installed as pastor of the Molonglo Valley Gospel Community.

This service will be followed by refreshments in the undercover area for afternoon tea.
