Lutheran Stellenbosch Evangelical Lutheran congregation Stellenbosch and Somerset West We also have Sunday services in all three languages.

Our church serves both Stellenbosch and Somerset West and congregation members come from as far as Gordon’s Bay, Kleinmond and Hermanus. Our church centre is situated in Stellenbosch, while in Somerset West we enjoy the hospitality of the catholic St Paul’s Church. While the German heritage and language brings common ground, we’re a mixed bunch of South Africans and Europeans, so in addition to Ge

rman, you’ll also hear plenty of Afrikaans and English! The congregation is a member of the Cape Church and the United Evangelical Lutheran Churches in Southern Africa. We also have strong ties with the Natal-Transvaal Church and the Lutheran Church in Namibia (DELKiN), as well as with the Vereinigte Evangelisch-Lutherische Kirche in Deutschland (VELKD) and the Evangelischen Kirche in Deutschland (EKD).

Join us this Sunday for our 10h00 church service in Stellenbosch – a special service with the baptism of Nikolai Walter Rohwer, son of Egmont and Néna Rohwer and brother of Philip.
After the service we invite you for a chat and a cup of coffee or tea.
