Cape Town's greatest "Invention" on the take out food scene, the Gatsby, certainly needs no introduction.
It's enjoyed by both young and old from all shapes and sizes for its variety of flavours and delicacies it has to offer - especially for its economic reasons and its value for money
First made in 1976 it changed the course for a "lekka dyt" in cape town.
In recent years it has taken up a new name amongst gatsby lovers known as "Gieba".
After Rashaad, the alleged founder of the gatsby put together a few odds and ends comprising of a long Portuguese roll, hot chips, polony and atchar to feed a few hungry workers - the gatsby was here to stay.
Almost a half a century later, it's still the go-to "dyt" to connect with friends and family, especially when the budget is low
