Join us at Masijidul Ummah as we celebrate the joy and blessings of Eid together as a community. 🌙✨
Bring your family and friends for a beautiful day filled with unity, purpose and service to our Deen. May Allah accept from us and you.

In this blessed month of Ramadan, as our Imaam raises his hands in dua, we ask Allah to accept every sincere supplication made for our Ummah. 🤲🌙

May Allah guide and protect our Imaams, grant them wisdom, and make Masijidul Ummah a place of light, knowledge, and spiritual growth.

May the Muslims of South Africa grow in unity, sincerity, and strength in Deen. For those with pure intentions and a true love for the Ummah, this is where you want to be.

Everything we do is purely for the pleasure of Allah.
May Allah accept the efforts of the Soweto Muslim Association (SMA) and make it a means of guidance and barakah for generations to come.

He didn’t hide his scars. He told his story.
He went to rehab. He relapsed. He went to rehab again.
That is not failure, that is a man fighting for his life, his family, and his purpose.

This is why we must talk.
Because absent fathers don’t disappear overnight, they break down silently.
Because when men fall, our children carry the weight.
Because silence has cost us mentorship, guidance, and futures.

This is a reminder that healing is messy, growth is uncomfortable, and accountability is powerful. As a community, we must stop giving up on our men and start walking with them. When we restore men, we restore homes. When we restore homes, we secure the legacy we leave behind.

Change starts with conversation and action.

SMA welcomes government and non-profit organizations to support the “Why We Must Talk” initiative.

Together, we can strengthen our communities and show up for our children.

It takes a village to raise a child.

What a beautiful and spiritually uplifting gathering we were blessed with yesterday at Masijidul Ummah.
Soweto Muslim Association had the honour of hosting the distinguished Shaykh Moulay Muhammad Al-Mourtada El-Boumeshouli, accompanied by Shaykh Ali Laraki Al-Husseini from Morocco during his South African tour, a day filled with dhikr, knowledge, barakah and unity.
Alhamdulillah for the light, the reminders, and the hearts that were touched.
May Allah accept from all who attended and grant us more moments of benefit and togetherness.
