SUNDAY SERVICE HIGHLIGHTS - 06 SEPTEMBER 2026

Surely The LORD Is In This Place
Inspired by Genesis 28:16

“And Jacob awoke from his sleep and he said, Surely the Lord is in this place and I did not know it.”

This follows Jacob having an encounter with God along his journey to Padan Aram. God spoke to Jacob in a dream, and pronounced a blessing and promise upon him.

Upon waking up from his dream, he realized that God is present in the place where he had made a stop. We as the church are encouraged to recognize that God is in this place. This place is your surroundings.

Pray for an encounter; Seek the LORD until you come to a point where you say, the LORD is in this place.

SUNDAY SERVICE HIGHLIGHTS - 30 August 2026

Build Your Confidence In The Almighty
Inspired by Psalm 11:3

“If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do?”
‭‭
Foundations play an important role in our lives. How high you will go, is determined by the solidity of the foundation.

Foundations provide stability, uphold structures and protection against natural forces, like winds, earthquakes, moisture. The stronger the foundation, the safer it is for a structure to hold firm.

When we look at Jabez in 1 Chronicles 4:9-10; his foundation was pain. His identity was tied to pain because his mother bore him in pain. His mother, in pain passed on that pain to Jabez to carry through his identity, however, that did not stop him from having his story rewritten. Jabez, prayed to the God of Israel, asking Him to make him happy, enlarge his territory, for God to always be with him in all that he does, and to protect him from evil and causing others pain.

God heard this prayer and granted his request. Like Jabez, we too whose identities are tied to pain, and sorrow, and all that is not good, can have our stories rewritten. In order for that to happen, we must build our lives on Christ. We are to come out of the structures built on the foundations of idolatry, witchcraft, lust, falsehood, etc and build our lives on Christ as our firm foundation.

Jesus said in ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭24‬-‭27‬ ‭NKJV‬‬: ““Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

“But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.””

Jesus Christ is our Rock. Our Firm Foundation. Without Him, what can the righteous do? Come to Jesus, turn from all that keeps you separated from God, put your trust in Jesus, and build a new life founded on Him. Have faith in Jesus and walk humbly in obedience to God.

All Night Prayer Highlights: 28-29 Aug 2026

Theme: Clothe yourself with Humility for the Glory of God

When we speak of clothing, we refer to putting clothes on someone. Clothing is a verb which means you are actively doing something.

Clothing is tied to identity. It can be used to identify different churches from other churches. It can be used to identify rank, and it can be used to identify careers.

In this instance, a type of wear that a believer is identified with is humility.

What is humility ?

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.”

- Humility is a lowliness of the mind.

- The above verse tells what not to do and what to do as believers.
- Whatever you do, let it not be to advance your own interests but to advance the interests of our God, our Creator.

Below are the interests of the flesh that the Bible warns believers against:

- Contentiousness [quarrelling]
- Strife [Selfishness]
- Conceit [Arrogance, Pride]

Instead, in the true spirit of humility, the lowliness of the mind values the interests of God and others.

- You shift your focus from yourself to God and other people.

- Humility is not about looking the part outwardly but heart posture. You can look genuine or humble outwardly and still have a heart filled with conceit.

- Humility is a deep hearted attitude that strives for total dependence on God and puts the needs of others ahead of your own.
- You cannot be humble if you do not have a surrendered heart to God.

According to the Theological Dictionary of the New Testament, the ancient Greek word for humility (tapeinós) historically denoted the shameful and crushed status of slaves and the poor, as classical Greek culture considered willfully lowering oneself a social disgrace. You can consult the Theological Dictionary of the New Testament for more information.

As followers of Jesus Christ, we need to ask ourselves a question.

Am I Humble or Full of Pride?

Upon honest reflection, you would find that you might have thought you were humble, but are filled with pride.

‭‭The Bible says in 1 Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“In the same way, you who are younger must accept the authority of the elders. And all of you, dress yourselves in humility as you relate to one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”

The above verse contains 3 things:

- Instruction to children, instruction to the church, and a warning to the church.

- A call to the young to submit to authority is an act of humility. This is a practice that needs to be instilled from a young age, in order for children to follow in this way.

- To the church, being clothed in humility is to acknowledge and value one another. To not think highly of ourselves or better than the next person. Choosing the latter is setting yourself up to be in opposition to God.

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭16‬:‭5‬ ‭gives us more insight when it comes to being prideful.

“The Lord hates everyone who is arrogant; he will never let them escape punishment.”

The responsibility sits with the church to choose humility. So which garment are you wearing? The garment of humility or pride?

Pride is dangerous. It is self reliance, and exalting yourself above God. Pride judges others, and looks down on others, and refuses correction. Pride tells you I know it all. I don’t need Gods grace, I can do it all by myself.

‭‭The Bible tells us in ‭‭John‬ ‭8‬:‭31‬-‭32‬ ‭GNT‬‬ - “So Jesus said to those who believed in him, “If you obey my teaching, you are really my disciples; you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.””

It is by examining ourselves, and acknowledging that our hearts need daily refinement that we will be free.

Another example of humility is that it honours God’s anointing. It is not all about honouring the person but the Spirit that God has placed in the anointed.

- David is an excellent example. He resisted killing Saul in 1 Samuel 24:6 - “He said to his men, “The Lord forbid that I should do this to my Lord the king. I shouldn’t attack the Lord’s anointed one, for the Lord himself has chosen him.””

David honoured the anointing that God had placed upon King Saul, rather than to kill him in his vulnerable state.

In Conclusion,

- Humility is not a matter of thinking less of yourself, but thinking of yourself less. When we do this, we declare that we see ourselves as nothing before God as an act of our reverence and worship to Him.

It is by the fear of the LORD and walking in obedience to Him, that humility is on display and its rewards are wealth, honour and a long life - Proverbs 22:4

SUNDAY SERVICE HIGHLIGHTS - 23 August 2026

Let Revival Start Within Me
Inspired by Hosea 10:12

Revival within starts with us examining our hearts. For us to have revival, we must first acknowledge that we have either shifted from the Presence of God, backslid, or shifted from the position that the LORD has placed us in.

Hosea 10:12 encourages us as believers to first practice righteousness, and as a reward, we will grow in love and mercy. Do not ignore the convictions of the Holy Spirit by hardening your heart. Live a life of repentance, recognize and acknowledge the need for Jesus Christ daily and He will clothe you with His righteousness.

As part of our revival, we need to stop looking at the condition of others. We need to stop getting preoccupied with the spiritual levels of others, and start looking within.

Romans 14:4 reminds us that God is the Righteous Judge over His servants and we are called to focus on the condition of our own hearts, rather than focusing on that of others.

A lot of the time we see a person's behaviour, but we do not know the battle that person is in. Matthew 7:3 calls us to reflection - “And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own?”. This stresses the need to look at ourselves and our own condition first before looking at the next person's condition.

Another part of our revival is by humbling ourselves, and allow God to search our hearts. Point out the errors or wickedness in us and uproot all of it so that we may be lead in the way of everlasting life [Psalm 139:23-24].

Revival is a heart-project. Allowing God to search our hearts is so that we may be cleansed, healed, and restored. As we ask God to search our hearts, we need to ask Him to create in us a clean heart and to renew a loyal spirit within us. [Psalms 51:10]

We need His Spirit to dwell in us, and work in us by removing our hardened heart [stubborn ways] and receive a new heart that will be willing to obey God and His laws [Ezekiel 36:26-27].

With a new and responsive heart, we able to do good works. Among the good works is sharing the Good News about Christ. As we do the work of planting seeds [sharing Scripture] in the lives of others, we are reminded that it is the Holy Spirit who makes that planted seed grow. [1 Corinthians 3:6]. It is not of our own strength, nor our own understanding.

With that said, may we come to a place where we acknowledge that we are in need of being sanctified by the Holy Spirit and that we are who we are and are empowered to do by God’s grace. [2 Corinthians 4:7]

Let Revival start within you. Let the prayer of Psalm 112 kickstart your revival and trust that God will handle the rest.

SUNDAY SERVICE HIGHLIGHTS - 16 August 2026

Putting On The Full Armour Of God

Inspired by Ephesians 6:10-17

As believers in Christ, there’s a distinct dress code that we dawn for each occasion that sets us apart from the world. Today, we look into a particular outfit. This outfit is the kind that believers wear when they gear up for battle or warfare.

The Belt of Truth - Holds our character in place. In truth, we are set apart. It is by the Truth that we are honest, have integrity, and are on guard against deception.

The Breastplate of Righteousness - A coverage over our hearts against being discouraged from having faith, showing love and not getting tired of doing good.

The Shoes of the Peace of the Gospel - The peace that comes from The Good News about Christ which encourages repentance and assures us that our trust in God will see us spend eternity with Him.

The Shield of Faith - Strengthens and enables us to stay rooted because of our trust in the work of the Cross - Jesus Christ dying for our sins.

The Helmet of Salvation - Guards our minds in knowing that we are secure in Christ. Having the confidence to know that Christ will keep His promise to us.

The Sword - It is the Word of God that helps us to slay the giants in our lives and slash the mountains that lie in front of us. The Word of God enables us to take a stand and destroy any and every scheme of the devil.

This attire reminds us that though we are set apart, We are up against evil forces that which we do not see with the naked eye, and are called to take up the appropriate attire to enter into battle and knowing that we shall come out victorious.

SUNDAY SERVICE HIGHLIGHTS - 09 August 2026

Setting Out From A Place We Have Been Living To A Place Of Praise

Inspired by Ruth Chapter 1.

Decisions are a vital part of our everyday lives and those decisions may not only affect the decision maker but also those around us. The decisions we take either make us or break us.

In the case of suffering, Elimelech shifted his family from the position God had placed them, which eventually led to the death of him and his two sons. Leaving his wife and daughters as widows to bear the consequences.

This tells us that, excluding God from the decisions we make ultimately leads to disaster. Be it of our own accord or those made on our behalf.

Lack of wisdom and discernment in decision making may lead to death, barreness, poverty (spiritually and physically), and stagnation among other things.

After Naomi realised the losses she had suffered in Moab, she decided to go back to Bethlehem, Judah. Ruth, despite the circumstances also decided to return with Naomi to Bethlehem despite Naomi's reluctance.

This reminds us that what you've been subjected to in life, like Ruth, should not restrict you from clinging onto what is right when you recognize it. Do not allow any persuasion from anyone or anything to take you back to your misery or abandon your faith in Christ. Be careful of those you surround yourself with.

Make a decision to leave the hurt, disappointment, and trauma you experienced behind and choose the peace and security that comes from the Holy Spirit by being in the shelter of the Most High God (Psalms 91:1).

Ecclesiastes 7:29 reveals that God has made us plain and simple, yet we complicate our lives by following our own way.

This is a call to redirect our focus, and fix our gaze on God. That way we will not be found slipping away from His original intent with our lives. God is calling us out of our various pains, rebellion, and hardships; And into to a place of praise. He calls you to intimacy, and worship of Him alone. Journey back to the Father like the prodical son did, and He will embrace you!

SUNDAY SERVICE HIGHLIGHTS - 02 August 2026

Ask for Wisdom and Accumulate Spiritual Knowledge

Inspired by James 1:5-6

The Bible teaches us that the fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom [Proverbs 9:10] and knowledge [Proverbs 1:7].

We define knowledge as the gathering of information while wisdom is defined as the use of knowledge correctly.

In James 1:5-6, God, in His generosity invites us to come and ask freely for wisdom. He avails wisdom to all who seek it. However, we must have faith, when asking for wisdom.

When God gives us wisdom, it is then followed by a test.

We see this with King Solomon in 1 Kings 3.

Solomon prayed for wisdom to shepherd God’s people. God was pleased with Solomon’s request, and gave wisdom; and that was topped up with honour and riches.

Then God sent a test Solomon to see whether he will apply his wisdom correctly. See 1 Kings 3:16-28.

Why? God wants us to have life and thrive.

Proverbs 3:14-18 gives us reasons to support the above statement.

- Wisdom is more valuable than material.
- Wisdom provides long life because it enables us to discern.
- Wisdom makes us honourable amongst people because we are shown to be set apart.
- Wisdom brings riches, through correct application.
- Wisdom provides peace and joy, because it enables us to make the right choices

All this, God avails wisdom to each and every one of us to receive freely because He loves us and wants us to mirror His image.

SUNDAY SERVICE HIGHLIGHTS - 26 July 2026

The Holy Spirit With Us
Inspired by 1 Corinthians 3:16-17

We are reminded that we are the temple of the Holy Spirit and that He is within us. Because He is within us, He is always with us. This tells us that there is no need for us to invite Him to be with us because He is already within us.

Everywhere we go, and in everything we do; He is there with us. With the Holy Spirit being in us, we are now free [2 Corinthians 3:17] from the bondages or chains of our past guilt [Isaiah 61:1].

The Holy Spirit delivers us from evil, fills us with power for good works [Acts 10:38] and serves as confirmation for the hope we have in the work of Jesus Christ, who paid it all on the cross [Romans 8:11].

As a result of this, we are now set apart. We no longer belong to ourselves [1 Corinthians 6:19-20] nor live for ourselves [Romans 14:7] because we belong to God, who guides, leads and teaches us through the Holy Spirit.

SUNDAY SERVICE HIGHLIGHTS - 19 July 2026

A Profound Mystery About Christ In Us
Inspired by

Colossians 1:26-27

The profound mystery revealed to the world is that Christ is in us. The glorious thing about this is that we have an undying hope.

Christ being in us points to us being united and in agreement with Him [John‬ ‭17‬:‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬].

What’s profound about this is that Jesus Christ is risen from the dead. He is alive and we know this because we have eye witness accounts, extra-biblical sources like Josephus and Tacitus, and the Spirit of the LORD - the Holy Spirit, who dwells in us [1 Corinthians 3:16].

Because Jesus Christ is alive, the Holy Spirit dwells in us. Because He dwells in us, we carry a glorious hope that we too, who are of Christ will live forever with Him.
