Inspired by Colossians 3:16-20

A Home can be described as a place of belonging or a dwelling place.

In a home, the foundations are laid to set a person towards a certain way of life. This is done through guidance, teaching, and instruction.

In a Christian Home, the church is encouraged to fill their hearts with the Word of God, by reading the Bible. Through reading the Bible, we learn that we are to live a life steered by love. A life founded on peace, and a life of submission- obedience to Jesus Christ. This is done by encouraging, correcting and rebuking one another through Scripture and prayer.

We learned of the character that the Proverbs 31 women embodies.

The Proverbs 31 is Characterised as follows:

- She is God fearing
- She is Righteous
- She is Respectful
- She is Faithful
- She is Disciplined
- She is Kind
- She is Capable
- She is Modest
- She is Wise
- She is Strong
- She is Charitable
- She is Honourable

For our fellow sisters in Christ, this is the kind of woman you are encouraged to become.

For our fellow brothers in Christ, this is the kind of woman you are encouraged to find.

To our mothers in Christ, this is the model you must follow in order to set a good example for the little ones.

God Is Not The Author of Confusion or Disorder
Inspired by 1 Corinthians 14:33 & 40

“[33] For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.

[40] Let all things be done decently and in order.”

For the ways of God are of order because order fosters structure or a system so that things run smoothly. The LORD is a God of peace, and not confusion because peace encourages unity whilst confusion brings chaos or disruption.

The church is encouraged to imitate God in maintaining order in the church whilst fostering peace with one another. This is not limited to practicing this inside the church alone but in our everyday lives.

The Importance of Maturing In Faith

“[18] but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.”

- We grow in the grace of our LORD Jesus Christ when we obey His commandments.

- We grow in our knowledge of our LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ by reading the Bible.

- We mature in faith when we accept the teachings of the Bible and put them into practice.

Maturing in faith helps us to remain rooted in Jesus Christ, thus guaranteeing our eternity with Him.

[1] “Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, [2] as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, [3] if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.”

We as believers are encouraged to get rid of the former things we used to practice that are hostile towards God, desire the Word of God, and put into practice the teachings of His Word so that we may grow spiritually and experience the fullness of salvation.

To God be the glory! He, Who dwells on high! Blessed be the LORD Jesus Christ, who goes in search of His lost sheep, finds them, and brings them into the sheepfold.

It Is The LORD God We Serve

Inspired by Colossians 3:23-24

The church is encouraged to be genuine and intentional in all that we do in servitude of our LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ. For our reward comes from God and not people.

Jesus Christ enables us to do all things and because of that, all glory and honour belongs to Him.

Let us strive to please God with each passing day.
