Celebrating Heritage: The Port Shepstone Andhra Sabha
From humble beginnings in 1955 to becoming a vibrant pillar of the KZN Lower South Coast, the Port Shepstone Andhra Sabha is more than just an organization—it is the heart of Telugu culture and Hindu devotion in our community.
As the reigning National Andhra Telugu Eisteddfod Champions (2024 & 2025), we take immense pride in preserving our proud Andhra heritage through faith, culture, and service.
What We Do
Located at our iconic Shri Vishnu Temple and Community Hall in Lions Grove, we are dedicated to uplifting our community through:
Weekly Prayer: Join us every Sunday at 9:00 AM—everyone is welcome!
Community Support: From Senior Citizen outreach to our annual Diwali Hamper Project for families in need.
Cultural Excellence: Hosting major festivals like Raam Bhajan and high-energy cultural shows.
Compassionate Service: Providing spiritual support and prayer services for funerals and ceremonies.
Looking to the Future
As a registered NPO, we are currently growing! We are hard at work upgrading the Andhra Community Hall, including new, modern ablution blocks with full disability access to ensure our home is welcoming to all.
