I'm hosting a session on Monday, May 18th (7pm) called Next Steps, but it's probably not what you think. This isn't a 'class' you attend to check a box or to merely become a member. It is a moment for me to pull back the curtain on my 'why'—who I am at the core and the heartbeat of this house.

But more than that, I want to talk about you. I've noticed you, and I believe you are here for a reason far bigger than just filling a seat. I want to explore who you are in this season and why you exist for a time such as this.

I'm inviting you because I don't want to just 'pastor' a church; I want to build a future with people who understand their identity and share the same fire. I want you to see what I see, so we can discover what we are called to do together.

I'd really love for you to be in that room with me. Can I count you in?

WESTERING GIVES BACK: Celebrating Our Winners and Our Community!

What an incredible few days it has been! We are absolutely overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and generosity shown during our extended donation drive. Together, we have gathered a mountain of blankets, warm clothes, and food to support those impacted by the recent floods.

Because of your kindness, we are helping our neighbours find hope and warmth during this difficult time. This is what it means to truly .

As a small token of our appreciation, we held our Community Relief Lucky Draw from the entries received during the drive. We have a video of the draw itself to share, but without further ado, we are thrilled to announce our three winners!

We are absolutely overwhelmed by the incredible response to our Community Relief Lucky Draw. Your generosity has truly sparked something special, and we've received a significant number of donations to help those in need find their feet.

To everyone who went out of their way to drop off blankets, clothing, and food, thank you. Your contribution has made this initiative a massive success!

What's Next?
Collection & Delivery: The donated items are scheduled for collection from the church tomorrow morning. They will be carefully organized for distribution to ensure they reach the right hands as quickly as possible.

Lucky Draw Winners: We know you're excited! The prize winners will be announced throughout the day this Friday, 15 May 2026.

The response to our Community Relief drive has already been so moving, but we know the need in our community remains immense. Because so many of you have reached out asking for more ways to help, we are extending our donation drive!

We are still transforming our Mother & Daughter competition into a Community Relief Lucky Draw. Your donations aren't just help, they are your "ticket" to winning one of our 3 incredible prizes!

How it works:
Simply drop off a donation of:
• Warm clothing
• Warm blankets
• Non-perishable food items

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Westering Community Night Market Postponed

Hi everyone,

We are writing to you with a heavy heart but a clear sense of responsibility. Over the last 48 hours, we have all witnessed the severe weather and devastating flooding that has impacted our city, infrastructure, and homes.

With heavy rain and strong winds forecast to continue through today and tomorrow, and with deep care for those who have suffered loss because of the storm, we have made the difficult decision to postpone tomorrow's market (Friday, 8 May) to Friday, 29 May 2026.

Why we are making this call:
A successful market requires two things: our valued vendors and "feet on the ground." While we know you are ready to trade, we believe the foot traffic will not be there tomorrow. Many of our loyal supporters are currently dealing with significant loss and destruction, and it would not be right, or productive for your sales, to push forward.

By moving the date, we aim to alleviate the disappointment of a poorly attended event and allow our community the time they need to recover. We believe this is a time and an opportunity to help the many who have suffered loss to find their feet.

Time: 17h00 – 21h00
Next Steps: We will share further logistical details and updated promotional material in the coming days.

We understand this may be disappointing news, but we believe this is the best path forward for the success of your businesses and the well-being of the Westering Community Night Market.

We're looking forward to having Robbie Morgan with us for a special evening together as he shares on the privilege and adventure of discipleship. Come meet "Uncle Robbie" — a humble retired farmer with a sincere love for Jesus — and hear part of his story as he encourages and stirs us in our walk with Jesus.

Coffee will be served from 18:30
We'll start promptly at 19:00

Everyone is welcome

Robbie will also have copies available of the book he wrote last year, Getting to Know the God I Never Knew (R250 each), for anyone who would like one after the meeting.
