*NEW SEASONS REQUIRE NEW INSTRUCTIONS*
(PART1)

One of the greatest lessons God taught Joshua was that a new season requires fresh instructions.

Joshua had spent years following Moses. He had watched Moses lead Israel, speak to God, perform miracles and navigate difficult situations. But when Moses died, Joshua could not simply become Moses.

The assignment had changed.
The season had changed.
And God began speaking directly to Joshua about what was required next.

*📖joshua 1:9 says*:
*📖Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."*

The same God who had been with Moses was now going to be with Joshua - but Joshua had his OWN assignment to fulfil.

Many people struggle in new seasons because they are trying to reproduce old methods.

What worked before may not be what God is asking you to do now.
- The strategy may need to change.
- The relationships may need to change.
- The priorities may need to change.
- The way you serve may need to change.
- Even your understanding of yourself may need to change.

Always, ASK God for fresh instructions.
* Fresh strategy for your assignment.
* Fresh discernment for your decisions.
* Fresh courage for unfamiliar territory.
* Fresh vision for what is ahead.
* Fresh obedience for the next step.

Don't be afraid because you have never been here before.
God has already gone ahead of you.
You don't need to know the entire route.
You ONLY NEED ENOUGH revelation to take the next step.

A new season does not require yesterday's map; it requires today's direction from God.

Heavenly Father, I come before You this night with a heart full of thanks and faith in Your Word. I thank You for Your faithfulness through this day. Lord, I ask for Your forgiveness — wash me clean from every sin, error, and shortcoming by the precious blood of Jesus.

Father, as I lie down to sleep, I stand upon these 10 deliverance scriptures. I declare:

Every terror by night I command you to flee! No evil dream, no fearful vision, no hidden danger shall come near my dwelling! I cover myself, my household, and my room with the blood of Jesus

Every chain, bo***ge, and captivity assigned against my life break now! God of deliverance, set me free! Break every band in pieces and bring me out of darkness into Your marvelous light

Every weapon fashioned against me by night or by day I condemn you now! You shall not prosper! Every tongue rising against me I silence you by the power in the name of Jesus!

The devil doesn’t fight people who are going nowhere 🗣️‼️

If your life has been marked by constant resistance, betrayal, loss, stretching seasons, and battles you never asked for… it’s not because you’re weak. It’s because you’re called.

Look all throughout the Bible.
Joseph was betrayed by his own brothers, falsely accused, forgotten in prison and still came out walking in purpose, second in command, saving nations.
David was anointed king and then spent years running for his life. Moses had a past he was ashamed of, yet God used the very thing he tried to run from to deliver an entire people. Jesus Himself was tested, rejected, and crucified before resurrection power was revealed.

There was always warfare before the calling was revealed. And you think the struggle means you missed God. The delay means you failed. The shame means you’re disqualified.

God wastes nothing‼️
Not the embarrassing parts.
Not the mistakes.
Not the seasons you don’t like to talk about. Not the chapters where you felt exposed, broken, or overloo teachers tdfked.

God is going to use the very things you thought ruined you as proof of His power. The places you felt the most ashamed? That’s where grace is going to speak the loudest. The battles that tried to take you out? They’re the same battles that trained you for what’s next.

Your warfare is confirmation. Your survival is evidence. And your story is being prepared for purpose.

Don’t quit in the middle of what God is still shaping. What you’re walking through is not random, it’s refinement. And when you come out, you won’t just be healed… you’ll be walking boldly in your calling.

God is using it all.

*ZACCHAEUS WAS REJECTED BY SOCIETY — BUT ONE ENCOUNTER WITH JESUS RESTORED HIS PURPOSE*

Many people know Zacchaeus as “the little man who climbed the sycamore tree.”
But if we only see the tree, we miss the revelation.
Zacchaeus was not simply a short man trying to see Jesus.
He was a SOCIALLY ISOLATED MAN trying to see the One who could see him.

Luke 19:1–10 tells us that Zacchaeus was a CHIEF TAX COLLECTOR and WEALTHY.

That combination tells us something about his world.
- He had money… But he didn't necessarily have honour.
- He had position…But not acceptance.
- He had influence…But not intimacy.
- He was successful in the eyes of the economy…But rejected in the eyes of his community.

And then Jesus came to Jericho.

Luke 19:2 tells us:
“He was a chief tax collector and was wealthy.”

Tax collectors were DEEPLY DESPISED by many Jews because they collected taxes for Rome and were associated with EXPLOITATION and COLLABORATION WITH THE OCCUPYING POWER.

Zacchaeus was not merely a tax collector.

He was a CHIEF TAX COLLECTOR.
He had risen within a system that his own people resented.

Perhaps his wealth had purchased things…
But it could not purchase acceptance.
And this is where the story becomes painfully relatable.

Some people have built impressive lives while secretly carrying rejected identities.

They have:
* Money, but no peace.
* Titles, but no belonging.
* Success, but no fulfilment.
* Followers, but no genuine relationships.
* Influence, but no intimacy.
* Accomplishments, but unresolved shame.

You can be SURROUNDED by people and still FEEL completely alone.

Zacchaeus had a house.
He had wealth.
He had authority.
But something inside him still wanted to see Jesus.

Luke 19:3 says:
“He wanted to see who Jesus was, but because he was short he could not see over the crowd.”

Notice the combination.
There was a PHYSICAL limitation…
And there was a SOCIAL BARRIER.

His height prevented him from seeing over the crowd.
But perhaps his REPUTATION PREVENTED the crowd from making room for him.

So Zacchaeus did something unusual.
He ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree.

For a wealthy, prominent man, this was probably undignified.
But desperation will sometimes MAKE YOU WILLING TO LOOK FOOLISH in order to encounter Jesus.

When you become DESPERATE ENOUGH FOR TRANSFORMATION, you STOP WORRYING about how you look to people.

Some people will never experience their next level because they are more concerned about maintaining their image than encountering Christ.

Zacchaeus was willing to climb.
He was willing to be uncomfortable.
He was willing to be seen.
Because something inside him wanted Jesus more than he wanted to preserve his dignity.

Luke 19:5:
“When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, ‘Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.’”

Jesus did not merely see a man in a tree.
Jesus saw a man behind the reputation.

The crowd saw:
“Tax collector.”

Jesus saw:
“Zacchaeus.”

The crowd saw his occupation.
Jesus saw his identity.

The crowd knew his history.
Jesus knew his potential.

The crowd had a label.
Jesus had an invitation.

That is the POWER OF DIVINE ENCOUNTER.

Jesus does not merely see what you have become. He sees what grace can make you.

JESUS CALLED HIM BY NAME

This detail is easy to overlook.

Jesus said:
“Zacchaeus…”

He called him by name.
Before Jesus addressed his behaviour…
He addressed his identity.
Before Jesus confronted his restitution…
He established relationship.
Before Jesus dealt with what was wrong in his life…
He invited Himself into his house.

This does not mean Jesus ignored Zacchaeus' wrongdoing.
It means transformation began with encounter.

Jesus did not say:
“Fix yourself, then come down.”

He said:
“Come down… I must stay at your house today.”

Grace came looking for him.
The man who had been excluded from the crowd…
Now welcomed Jesus into his home.

Jesus' grace did not make Zacchaeus comfortable in his sin.
Grace changed his relationship with his sin.

Luke 19:8 records Zacchaeus saying:
“Look, Lord! I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.”

His encounter produced FRUIT.
His repentance became visible.
His relationship with Jesus affected his relationship with money.
His relationship with money affected his relationship with people.
And his transformation affected his community.

Luke 19:10
“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”**

This is the heart of the story.
Zacchaeus thought he was looking for Jesus.
But Jesus reveals that He came looking for Zacchaeus.

And that is the Gospel.
You may think you are searching for God…
But grace has already been searching for you.

Perhaps your story isn't exactly like Zacchaeus.

Maybe your rejection came from:
* A failed marriage.
* A family conflict.
* A business failure.
* A public mistake.
* A bad decision.
* A damaged reputation.
* Financial failure.
* Addiction.
* A season of compromise.
* People who misunderstood you.
* People who judged you by your past.

And perhaps you've allowed what happened TO YOU to become the definition OF YOU.

Zacchaeus teaches us that; Your reputation may describe your past, but it does not have authority over your future.

People may remember what you did.
Jesus can redeem what you became.

People may remember your failure.
Jesus can restore your assignment.

People may have written you off.
Jesus can call you by name.

JESUS CAN TURN A REJECTED PERSON INTO A RESTORED PERSON — AND A RESTORED PERSON INTO A PURPOSEFUL PERSON.

*LAZARUS DIDN'T JUST COME OUT OF A TOMB - He came out of a LIMIT that everyone had ACCEPTED.*

The greatest limitation in John 11 wasn't sickness, poverty or opposition.
It was DEATH ITSELF.

When Lazarus died, every human SOLUTION HAD FAILED.
His family, mourners and community had ACCEPTED IT.

The STONE over the tomb became a declaration:
"IT'S OVER."

Maybe you've seen similar "STONES" in your life...
- A broken marriage.
- A failed business.
- A closed door.
- A delayed promise.
- A ministry that feels stagnant.
- A dream that's been buried by disappointment.

But Jesus has a habit of walking toward situations EVERYONE ELSE HAS WALKED AWAY FROM.

John 11:17
"When Jesus arrived, Lazarus had already been in the tomb four days."

By that point, hope was gone IN THE EYES OF EVERYONE around him.
Yet God's timetable is NEVER LIMITED BY HUMAN conclusions.

One of the most profound truths in this story is that JESUS DELAYED BECAUSE HE LOVED THEM - John 11:5–6.

His delay wasn't His denial.
He wasn't just preparing to heal a sick man - He was about to reveal Himself as "THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE" in John 11:25.

If heaven seems silent, don't automatically assume God is absent.
Sometimes He is preparing A GREATER REVELATION of His glory.

Before Jesus called Lazarus out, He commanded the people:
"Take away the stone." - John 11:39

The MIRACLE BELONGED to God.
The OBEDIENCE BELONGED to them.

There are stones ONLY GOD can remove, but there are also stones He CALLS US TO MOVE - unbelief, fear, pride, unforgiveness, compromise and hidden sin.

Then Jesus declared:
"Lazarus, come out!"

The grave COULD NOT RESIST the voice of its Creator.

- No situation is beyond God's power.
- No heart is too hard.
- No calling is too buried.
- No future is too ruined.
- No circumstance is too hopeless for Christ to redeem according to His perfect will.

Yet Lazarus came out STILL WRAPPED in grave clothes - John 11:44.

God doesn't only bring us out - He continues transforming us. Salvation gives new life, and sanctification progressively removes the grave clothes.

Your limitation is NOT GREATER THAN His Lordship.

Tonight, we are crying to the God of justice. There are battles that human strength cannot settle, situations that explanations cannot resolve, and accusations that only God can silence.

When God arises as the righteous Judge, every wicked counsel against His children is brought to nothing. Every evil agenda that has been working against your peace, progress, family, destiny and purpose shall be overturned by the power of God.

Tonight, we are not praying for revenge. We are asking the righteous God to judge every matter according to His perfect justice and to deliver us from evil.

Father, let Your judgment bring restoration into every area of my life.

Restore what has been lost.

Restore opportunities.

Restore peace.
