ALL THINGS IN COMMON
“When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place…” — Acts 2:1-4
The early church understood the power of fellowship. They gathered together in unity, received the Holy Spirit together, and devoted themselves to the work of God together. As a result, many were added to the church daily (Acts 2:41).
God encourages fellowship because there is strength in unity. Hebrews 10:24-25 reminds us:
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together… but encouraging one another.”
As believers, we are called to exhort, encourage, and strengthen one another. Fellowship is not merely about gathering in the same place—it is about sharing God’s love with one another.
Fellowship cannot be effective in the absence of love. We must remain loving people within the body of Christ. Love those who have wronged you. Love those who speak negatively about you. Love those who misunderstand you. The love of God is not based on how people treat us; it is based on who God has called us to be.
When we come together in fellowship, let us love one another genuinely. Let us create an atmosphere where grace, forgiveness, unity, and encouragement flourish. When love becomes the foundation of our fellowship, God is glorified, lives are transformed, and the church grows stronger.
Remember: when you choose to love, you lose nothing, but you gain the opportunity to reflect Christ.
