Heavenly Father,

As this day comes to a close, I thank You for Your love, protection, and countless blessings. Forgive me for my sins and shortcomings, and cleanse my heart with Your mercy.

Grant me a peaceful night’s rest. Watch over my family and loved ones, keep us safe from all harm, and fill our hearts with Your peace.

May Your grace strengthen me for tomorrow, and may I always walk in Your light and love.

Into Your hands, O Lord, I commend my spirit.

Amen.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in You.

*TUESDAY EVENING PRAYER*
At the setting of the sun we gather before you O Lord our God,
Who has walked with us up to this blessed moment,
Be pleased to accept our evening sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving,
For you alone O Lord are all deserving,
We have sinned O Lord and seek your forgiveness and healing,
Help us to restore our relationships broken by un-forgiveness,
This evening O Lord we ask for an overflowing spirit of generosity,
That we may be detached from desiring worldly possessions and pleasures,
That we may be attached to bringing joy to those in sadness,
Bringing encouragement to those weighed down by discouragement,
Bringing dignity to those who are disrespected,
Bringing light to those who are in the dark of despair,
O Lord as you have blessed us with things great and small,
Use us to bring a blessing to others around us,
In peace may we lie down and sleep,
For you alone Lord make us secure,
In the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit,

*TUESDAY MORNING PETITION*

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for the gift of this new Tuesday. Thank you for waking me up, for the breath in my lungs, and for your love that greets me every single morning.

Lord, today your Word reminds me how much you love mercy. Forgive me for the times I have been selfish, greedy, or angry, just like King Ahab.

Cleanse my heart today and help me to start fresh. Guard my tongue and my actions so that I do not hurt anyone just to get my own way.

Jesus, your command today is hard: you ask me to love my enemies and pray for those who hurt me. I cannot do this on my own strength. I ask for the grace of the Holy Spirit to expand my heart today.

If anyone makes me angry, stretches my patience, or treats me unfairly today, help me to pause and pray for them instead of fighting back. Help me to reflect your perfect, generous love—the love that sends rain and sunshine on everyone.

I place this day into your hands. Guide my steps, protect my family, and let your peace rule in my heart.

To you O Lord we lift up our souls,
Our God and sovereign King we adore you,
Be exalted from everlasting to everlasting,
For your love and provision are amazing and unfailing,
Be exalted O Lord who is without end or beginning,
Forgive us we pray for our many sinful ways,
Restore us we pray and grant us joy of countless days,
O Lord our God source of light and wisdom,
We have seen the error in our neighbours and ignored our own failings,
We have seen the error in our spouses and ignored our own failings,
We have seen the error in our colleagues and ignored our own failings,
We have seen the error in our leaders and ignored our own failings,
We have seen the error in our clergy and religious and ignored our own failings,
Help us to recognize and accept our own shortcomings with patience and sincerity,
And grant us a firm resolve to change and be better and judge less and less each day,
Heal us from our many ailments of body mind soul and spirit we pray,
And grant us the gift of life at the dawn of the new day,
In the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit,

O Most Sacred Heart of Jesus,

I adore You and thank You for revealing the infinite love of Your Heart.

Gentle and humble Heart, You know all my fears, struggles, and my weaknesses, yet You never cease to love me.

Draw me close to Your Sacred Heart and teach me to trust completely in Your mercy.

Fill me with Your love, that I may love God above all things and my neighbor with a generous heart.

Make me meek and humble like You, patient in trials, faithful in duty, and joyful in serving others.

May Your Sacred Heart be my refuge in life, my strength in suffering, and my hope at the hour of death.

For my heart is restless until it rests in You.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for this beautiful new day. Thank You also for giving us Saint Barnabas to look up to.

His name means "Son of Encouragement." Today, please help me to be an encourager, too.

Let my words build people up instead of tearing them down. Help me to notice the people who are lonely or left out, and show them Your love.

Clean out any anger or grudges from my heart. If I am upset with anyone, or if anyone is upset with me, give me the courage to make peace. Help me remember that I cannot truly love You if I refuse to love my neighbor.

Fill me with the Holy Spirit today, Lord. Give me a generous heart, a strong faith, and the grace to give others a second chance.

Saint Barnabas, pray for us.

For we have sinned and fallen short of your glory, O Lord,
As we prepare to rest tonight from the day's labours,
Stay with us for the night is darkened by fear o Lord,
Stay with us for we are overtaken by the need to be in control of every situation,
Stay with us for we are struggling to forgive ourselves and others,
Stay with us for many are the burdens but easy is your yoke O Lord,
May the night be restful and may your breath fill our lives at the break of dawn,
