*FAT AND FLOURISHING (2)*

*PSALM 92:12-15.*
12, The righteous shall flourish like the lalm tree, he shall grow like a ceder in Lebanon.
13, Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.
14, They shall still bring forth fruits in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;
15, To shew that the Lord is upright: he is my rock, abd there is no unrighteousness in him.

*MEDITATION SCRIPTURE:*
*They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing. Psalm 92:14 (KJV)*

PSALM 92:12-15 paints a glorious picture of the life God intends for His people, a life of lasting fruitfulness, strength, and vitality, even in old age. To be fat and flourishing means to be spiritually healthy, nourished by God's word, and productive in His kingdom despite external circumstances or age. This flourishing does not come by chance; it is the result of being planted in the house of the Lord. God's presence is not merely a place of visitation, it is the believer's dwelling place. Those who remain connected to Him will draw life, wisdom, and strength from Him continuously.

Flourishing in God includes spiritual maturity. Just as trees do not bear fruit overnight, so too most we embrace the seasons of preparation, pruning, and growth. The fatness mentioned here symbolizes richness in grace and abundance in spiritual substance. Flourishing denotes vigor and the ability to influence and bless others. The world may define aging as a decline, but in the kingdom of God, it is a continuation of purpose. Verse 14 assures us that even in old age, the righteous remain fruitful still bearing witness to God's faithfulness and still fulfilling His purpose.

*TURNING POINT*
*"In God's garden, the righteous never wither, the bloom, they bless, and they bear fruit to the very end"*

*PRAYER:*
*Lord, help me remain planted in you. Let my life reflect your goodness as I grow and flourish through every season in Jesus name. Amen*

*GUARD YOUR SEED*

*MATT. 13:24-26*
24 Jesus told them another picture-story. He said, “The holy nation of heaven is like a man who planted good seed in his field. 25 During the night someone who hated him came and planted w**d seed with the good seed in his field and went away. 26 When the good seed started to grow and give grain, w**ds came up also.

*MEDITATION SCRIPTURE:*
*“But while men sleep, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.” Matthew 13:25 (KJV).*

Jesus’ parable of the wheat and tares reveals a profound spiritual truth: every good seed is vulnerable to attack. The enemy waits for unguarded moments, times of spiritual slumber to plant seed, your divine assignment; and the tares, distractions, temptations, or counterfeit influences designed to choke your growth. Notice that the enemy didn’t sow when the servants were watching, he came when men slept. This sleep represent complacency, prayerlessness, and lack of vigilance. When we let down our guard spiritually, we give room for subtle infiltrations thoughts, habits, or relationships that threaten the integrity of what God is building.

Guarding your seed means staying alert in the Spirit. It means nurturing what God has planted in you through prayer, study of the Word, and godly counsel. It also means being sensitive to what is growing in your life, discerning between divine growth and deceptive growth. Not everything that looks good is from God. Some tares look like wheat until the time of harvest. That’s why discernment is key. As your seed begins to grow, don’t assume that everything in your field is harmless. Guard your mind, guard your heart, and guard your environment. You are responsible for protecting your spiritual investment.

*TURNING POINT:*
_“Your seed has an enemy guard it fiercely, or you may feed what was never meant to grow.”_

*PRAYER:*
Father, keep me watchful and discerning. Help me to protect the seed You have planted in Jesus name.

*MASTERING YOUR EMOTIONS (3)*

*GEN. 25:29-34*
29 As Jacob was getting food ready one day, Esau came in from the field and was very hungry. 30 Esau said to Jacob, “Let me eat some of that red meat, for I am very hungry.” That is why his name was called Edom. 31 But Jacob said, “First, sell me your birth-right.” 32 Esau said, “See, I am about to die. So what good is my birth-right to me?” 33 Jacob said, “First give me your promise.” So Esau promised, and sold his birth-right to Jacob. 34 Then Jacob gave Esau bread and vegetables, and Esau ate and drank. Then Esau stood up and went on his way. So Esau hated his birth-right.

*MEDITATION SCRIPTURE:*
*“Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentils; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.” Genesis 25:34 (KJV)*

Easu’s story is a sobering reminder of how a single impulsive decision can alter the course of a lifetime. Famished from the field, Easu let his hunger drive him to a reckless exchange, his birthright for a bowl of stew. In that moment, he was more driven by appetite than identity. The birthright was more than a cultural inheritance; it symbolizes spiritual blessing and covenant legacy. But Easu, overwhelmed by physical craving, saw only the present moment. His famous words
_*“What profit shall this birthright do to me?”*_ reveals a dangerous mindset, one that elevates temporary relief above lasting value.

How often do we, like Easu, trade eternal things for monetary pleasure? Unmastered emotions like impatience, lust, anger, or desperation can push us into decisions that we later regret deeply. The tragedy of Easu is not just that he was hungry, but that he failed to pause, reflect, and consider the weight of his choice. Mastering your emotions means refusing to make permanent decisions based on temporary feelings. It means recognizing when your appetite is loud and choosing to wait on God. Emotions are not evil, but when they sit in the driver’s seat, they can steer us away from God’s will.

*TURNING POINT:*
_“Do not sacrifice your future on the altar of your feelings, your birthright is worth the wait.”_

*PRAYER:*
Father, help me not to act from impulse. Teach me to value what you’ve given me and to wait on You in everything in Jesus name.

*GEN. 13:6-11*
6 There was not enough land to feed all the animals while they lived together. They owned so many things that they were not able to stay together. 7 There was fighting between those who cared for Abram’s animals and those who cared for Lot’s animals. The Canaanite and the Perizzite were living in the land at that time. 8 So Abram said to Lot, “Let there be no fighting between you and me or between the men who take care of our animals, for we are brothers. 9 Is not the whole land in front of you? Let each of us go a different way. If you go to the left, then I will go to the right. Or if you go to the right, then I will go to the left.” 10 Lot looked and saw that the Jordan valley was well watered everywhere like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt as you go to Zoar. (This was before the Lord destroyed S***m and Gomorrah.) 11 So Lot chose all the Jordan valley for himself. And as Lot traveled east, they went apart from each other.

*MEDITATION SCRIPTURE:*
*“And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee… for we are brethren.”Genesis 13:8 (KJV)*

Emotions are powerful forces that shapes our decisions, relationships and destiny. When left unchecked, they can lead to conflict and regret. In Genesis13, we saw a potential family dispute between Abram and Lot. Their increasing wealth caused strife between their herdsmen. But Abram, led by wisdom and peace, chose to defuse tension. He did not allow pride or entitlement to dictate his response. As the elder and rightful patriarch, Abram could have insisted on his rights. Instead, he gave lot the choice of land, prioritizing relationship over resources. Lot, driven by what he saw, the well-watered plain, chose selfishly, unaware that the path he chose would lead to S***m.

Mastering your emotions doesn’t mean denying them; it means submitting them to godly wisdom. Anger, envy, greed or pride may rise, but the Spirit-filled believer must not let them lead. Like Abram, choose the higher path of peace and humility. There will be times when you are right but still called to yield. That is not weakness, it is strength under control.

*TURNING POINT:*
_“If you master your emotions you lead your destiny; but if emotions lead, you risks losing it.”_

*PRAYER:*
Lord, teach me to walk in wisdom and peace. Help me not to be ruled by pride, anger or selfish ambition in Jesus name.

*PREACH THE WORD*

*MK. 3:13-14;*
13 He went up on a mountain and called those He wanted. They followed Him. 14 He picked out twelve followers to be with Him so He might send them out to preach.

*2 TIM. 4:2*
2 Preach the Word of God. Preach it when it is easy and people want to listen and when it is hard and people do not want to listen. Preach it all the time. Use the Word of God to show people they are wrong. Use the Word of God to help them do right. You must be willing to wait for people to understand what you teach as you teach them.

*MEDITATION SCRIPTURE:*
*“Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.” 2 Timothy 4:2 (KJV)*

When Jesus called His disciples in Mark 3: 13-14, it was not just for companionship but for commissioning. He appointed them first to be with Him and then to send them out to preach. This divine pattern reveals a crucial truth: we must dwell in His presence before declaring His message. Ministry begins with intimacy. In 2 Timothy 4:2, Paul charges us to preach the Word with urgency and consistency whether it is convenient or not. This command applies to every believer. Preaching is not reserved for pulpits; it is a way of life. We preach through our words, our conduct, and our unwavering stand for truth.

The world is full of voices and philosophies, many of which contradict God’s Word. In such a climate, we are called not to remain silent but to speak with clarity, conviction, and compassion. Whether people applaud or oppose us, we must proclaim the gospel faithfully. It is the power of God unto salvation. Preaching the Word requires patience, as Paul notes. We must be prepared to teach, correct, and encourage not with arrogance, but with love. Many heart are hardened, others are confused. It takes spiritual sensitivity and persistence to break through with truth and grace.

*TURNING POINT:*
_“You are not just called to carry the Word, you are called to proclaim it, live it, and shine it.”_

*PRAYER:*
Lord Jesus, thank You for calling me to Yourself and commissioning me with Your Word. Help me to preach with boldness, clarity, and love in Jesus name.

*BUILDING OTHERS UP (2)*

*Rom. 15: 4-7*
4 Everything that was written in the Holy Writings long ago was written to teach us. By not giving up, God’s Word gives us strength and hope. 5 Now the God Who helps you not to give up and gives you strength will help you think so you can please each other as Christ Jesus did. 6 Then all of you together can thank the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. 7 Receive each other as Christ received you. This will honor God.

*MEDITATION SCRIPTURE:*
*“Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.” Romans 15:7 (KJV)*

Paul continues to appeal for unity and mutual edification by reminding us of the enduring values of the Scriptures. The Word was written for our learning to offer hope and encouragement, and to help us patiently endure as we walk in community with others. Building others up involves not only bearing their weaknesses but also speaking life through the truths of God’s Word. In verse 5-6, Paul prays for the spirit of unity among believers, that we may live in harmony and glorify God with one voice. This kind of unity does not come from human effort alone; it is empowered by divine grace. When we are saturated in the Scripture and aligned with Christ, our heart are softened towards one another. We begin to speak words that edify, not divide; words that heal, not hurt.

Verse7 seals this with a divine standard: Receive one another, as Christ also received you. Consider how Christ received us unworthy, broken, and flawed yet, He welcomed us with love, forgiveness, and grace. This is the example we are to follow. It is easy to accept those who are like us, but true love is shown when we embrace those who are different, difficult, or still growing.

A church where people build one another becomes a refuge of grace, a place where healing flows and spiritual growth flourishes. God is glorified when His people live in harmony and extend to others the same mercy they have received.

*TURNING POINT:*
_“The church grows stronger when its people grow softer with compassion, patience, and grace towards one another.”_

*PRAYER:*
Gracious Father, thank You for receiving me with mercy and love. Help me to do the same for others, especially when it’s difficult in Jesus name.

*TUESDAY 2ND JUNE, 2026*

*BUILDING OTHERS UP (1)*

*ROM. 15: 1-3*
We who have strong faith should help those who are weak. We should not live to please ourselves. 2 Each of us should live to please his neighbor. This will help him grow in faith. 3 Even Christ did not please Himself. The Holy Writings say, “The sharp words spoken against you fell on Me.”

*MEDITATION SCRIPTURE:*
*“We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.” Romans 15:1 (KJV)*

Christian maturity is not measured by how much we know, but by how well we love and serve others. Paul challenges the strong in faith to bear with the weakness of the weak, not for self-glory, but for their growth. This kind of life is counter-cultural it calls us to selflessness in a world consumed with self-promotion. In Romans 15: 1-3, we see the heart of Christ revealed in action. He did not live to please Himself. Though He had every right to remain in glory, He came to serve and to carry our burdens. In the same way, those who are strong spiritually, emotionally, or even materially are called to support, not to shame, the weaker ones among us.

This may require patience, humility, and intentional sacrifice. We are to lift, not crush; build, not break. The edification of the body of Christ requires each member to function in love. When we use our strength to uplift others, we reflect the nature of Christ and create a space for others to thrive. Instead of criticizing a struggling brother or sister, ask: How can I encourage them? How can I lend strength through prayer, counsel, or simple kindness? That’s the call to build others up.

*TURNING POINT:*
“Strength is not for status but for service; true maturity is measured by how well we lift others.”

*PRAYER:*
Lord Jesus, help me not to live for myself. Teach me to see others through Your eyes and to use my strength to bear the burdens of the weak in Jesus name.

*THE UPRIGHT*

*PS. 37:16-19*
16 The few things that the man right with God has is better than the riches of many sinful men. 17 For the arms of the sinful will be broken. But the Lord holds up those who are right with Him. 18 The Lord knows the days of those who are without blame. And what is theirs will last forever. 19 They will not be ashamed in the time of trouble. And in days when there is no food they will have enough.

*MEDITATION SCRIPTURE:*
*“For the Lord is righteous, He loves righteousness; His countenance behold the upright.” Psalm 11: 7 (NKJV)*

Uprightness is a life of integrity, honesty, and moral soundness. A life that aligns with God’s standards, both publicly and privately. In a world where compromise is often applauded, walking in uprightness requires courage, consistency, and a deep reverence for God. The upright are those whose heart are loyal to God, not perfect people, but sincere ones who strive to do what is right, even when no one is watching. God delights in the upright. Psalm 37:18 assures us that the Lord not only knows the days of the upright but also preserves their inheritance forever. Uprightness attracts divine attention and long-lasting blessing.

Living upright may not always make us popular. It may involve standing alone, refusing shortcuts, or rejecting dishonest gains. Yet, uprightness positions us for God’s favour, protection, and approval. _*“He who walks with integrity walks securely.” (Pro. 10:19).*_

The upright do not have to look over their shoulders or fear exposure because their path is built on truth. God is calling us to rise above the pressures of the world and walk in uprightness, He promise to guide, sustain, and bless those who choose His way.

*TURNING POINT:*
_He who walks with integrity walks securely._

Lord, help me to walk uprightly before You in all areas of my life in Jesus name.
