Read this story carefully, there is a lesson to learn:
A violinist played for 45 minutes on the NYC subway. A handful of people stopped, a few clapped, and the violinist managed to collect about $30 in tips.
Nobody knew this, but the violinist was Joshua Bell, one of the best musicians in the world. On this subway, Joshua played one of the most complex pieces ever written with a $3.5 million violin.
Two days before he played the subway, Joshua Bell packed the house at a Boston theater and tickets were an average of $100.
This experience has proven that the EXTRAORDINARY in an ORDINARY Environment DOES NOT SHINE and is often NEGLECTED and UNDERESTIMATED.
There are brilliantly talented people everywhere who don't get the recognition and reward they deserve.
But once they arm themselves with value and trust and remove themselves from an environment that does not serve them, they thrive and develop.
If your environment doesn’t recognize your value, move places. Like what’s on the other side of fear.
