With deep sadness, we share the passing of our dear friend, Alexander Rhodes, on Wednesday.
Alexander joined Holy Cross in Grade 4 and completed his Grade 7 year with us at the end of last year. He will be remembered for his gentle and kind nature, wonderful sense of humour, and the respect he showed to everyone around him. A talented tennis player, a lover of riddles and jokes, and a loyal friend, Alexander brought joy to so many lives. His friends admired his strength, bravery, and positive spirit.
We fondly remember his love for playing dumpy with his friends and the excitement with which he would race to the courts at break time.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his parents, his sister Avia and his brother Arthur and extended family during this incredibly difficult time. May they find comfort, strength, and peace in the love and support that surrounds them.
“The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” – Psalm 34:18
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” – John 14:27
Rest peacefully, Alexander. You will always remain part of the Holy Cross family.
