Faith to Lose Our Lives | Dan Malan | Sunday 29 June 2025

What a powerful challenge from Dan Malan on having the kind of faith that truly follows Jesus. We’re not just called to lose our lives, but to do it for His sake [Matthew 16:25]. He is our treasure!

The Apostle Paul put it so clearly that his desire was to “gain Christ and be found in Him” [Philippians 3:8-9]. That kind of surrender requires faith. If we want to live fully for Him, we’ll need the courage to give everything to find everythin .

Part 2: Messages that spoke to the Heart

Over the six weeks, Pastor Fabien shared powerful messages that stirred our hearts and pointed us back to Christ. He spoke about having a heart after God—like David, humble and full of faith. “It’s a work of the cross,” he said, “to have a heart like this.”

From Hebrews 12, he challenged us to embrace God’s discipline. Not to resist correction, but to grow through it—to mature as true sons and daughters. He reminded us that true unity in the church is not emotional or superficial—but born of sound doctrine, the Spirit’s work, and lives surrendered.

Then came the call to daily repentance—to live with a broken and contrite heart before the Lord. "Without repentance,” he said, “we grow religious and lose revelation of Jesus Christ.” Each message was like a sharp arrow—pointed, loving, and full of truth.

Part 1: A Precious Time in Durban

We had the absolute joy of hosting Pastor Fabien Larhubarbe and his wife Milene for six unforgettable weeks in Durban! Their time with us was filled with rich fellowship, deep encouragement, and a clear call back to the gospel.

One of the first messages Pastor Fabien shared reminded us not to rely on past experiences but to press on toward the goal (Phil. 3:12). “It’s not how much you do,” he said, “but how long you endure.”

He spoke straight to the heart—urging us to keep running the race, not in our own strength, but through the life of the gospel working in us daily.

Stay tuned for Part 2 tomorrow.

Count the Cost | Lephoi Maduna | Sunday 12 January 2025

As we begin 2025, Lephoi shares from Luke 14:25-33. We all have plans and goals for the new year. But he challenges us: “What about in the Spirit?” Are we desperate for the things of the Lord, to pay the price?

We cannot move forward in the Spirit if we are aimless. The enemy will do his best to lie to us and distract us, to keep us from progressing. There is a sacrifice to be made (1 Corinthians 9:24-27). Are we willing to count the cost?

What a blessing to have Pastor Peter McKenzie in Durban!

On this trip, he shared powerful messages about Jesus building His spiritual Church.

On Sunday Peter reminded us from 1 Peter 2:4-5 that we’re called to be part of a spiritual Church, chosen by God. Our lives, conduct, and priorities should reflect that calling, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to Him. Then on Tuesday evening, he encouraged us to live by the Spirit (Romans 8:6), surrendering our flesh to grow as one body, united as His spiritual house.

As we reflect: Are we making His Church a priority and denying ourselves to fulfill His purpose?
