Today, on this first Thursday of Lent, we do not walk in ashes alone - we walk in grace.

The ashes on our foreheads were not a mark of shame; they were a sign of surrender. A declaration that we belong to God. A reminder that our strength does not come from ourselves, but from the Lord.

Lent is not about punishment. It is about returning.

Ash Wednesday 2026 begins the season of Lent - a 40-day journey of repentance, prayer, and spiritual renewal. The ashes remind us of two central truths:

- We are human and dependent on God.
- We are called to repent and believe in the Gospel.

The Church invites us to grow through the three Lenten pillars:

- Prayer – deepening our relationship with God
- Fasting – disciplining our desires
- Almsgiving – loving and serving others

Lent starts with humility (ashes) but moves toward hope (Easter). It is not about guilt, but about conversion — turning our hearts back to God and walking toward resurrection.

From ashes to renewal. From repentance to grace. From Lent to Easter joy. ✝️
