THE BATON OF HONOR SUNDAY SERVICE
Honor is a spiritual principle that unlocks divine blessings. It is not just about showing respect, it is about recognizing and responding to the value God has placed on a person, position, or purpose.
In Romans 13:7, the Word of God says: “Give to everyone what you owe them, if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.” Honor is due to those whom God has placed in positions of spiritual authority, leadership, and influence. When we honor those God has anointed, we don’t just honor the vessel, we honor God Himself.
Honor is a seed. What you sow in honor, you reap in favor. Many doors remain closed not because of lack of prayer, but because of dishonor. Where there is no honor, there can be no transfer of grace. Even Jesus could do no mighty works in His own town because they failed to honor Him (Mark 6:4-5).
To honor means to:
➡️ Speak well of your leaders in public and in private.
➡️ Serve with humility and without entitlement.
➡️ Give willingly, not just your money, but your time, loyalty, and support.
➡️ Protect the dignity of the person God has placed over you, even when you don’t understand their methods.
Honor is tested not in agreement but in moments of offense. True sons and daughters do not dishonor in disagreement, they remain loyal and submitted in spirit.
Let us be a generation that brings back the culture of honor, toward our spiritual fathers and mothers, toward elders, toward the house of God, and above all, toward the Lord Himself.
For in honoring those He sends, we position ourselves to receive what Heaven has released through them. Honor unlocks inheritance.
