We thank God for the dedication of everyone bringing this meaningful event to life under the inspiring theme "CREATED BY GOD, SPECIAL FOR A PURPOSE" (Ephesians 2:10)🥳

May this day be filled with joyful worship led by Bishop GA Seane and recreational activities and rich fellowship. We wish all circuits and participants and facilitators a safe, spirit-filled and memorable day of celebration✝️

We give thanks to God for the successful completion of our LUCSA Christian Education and LCSA workshop held at Klerksdorp from the 16th -18th August 2026. It was a fruitful time of learning, sharing, reflection, and planning together.
We are grateful that the main objectives of the workshop were reached, including deepening our understanding of Christian Education, strengthening Children’s Ministry, reflecting on safeguarding in Christian Education, and exploring the effective use of the LUCSA Teachers’ Resource Books.
Participants also worked together to develop amongst others draft year plans that will guide and support Christian Education work in the respective dioceses in the year ahead. These plans provide a strong foundation for continued collaboration, implementation, and growth across our ministries.
Thank you to all participants, facilitators, dioceses, and partners who contributed to making this workshop meaningful and successful. May the work begun here continue to bear fruit in our congregations, communities, and the lives of children, youth, and adults.
Together we continue to teach, nurture, and serve with faith and commitment.

📢 LUCSA Christian Education Workshop Announcement
We are excited to announce our upcoming Christian Education Workshop together with the LCSA, taking place from Sunday, 16 August to Tuesday, 18 August in Klerksdorp.
We will be focusing on practical sessions focused on understanding What Christian Education is and concentrate on How to teach Children’s Ministry, lesson plan development and how to use the LUCSA Teachers’ Resource Books.
This workshop is a wonderful opportunity to learn, share ideas, and strengthen Christian Education and with a hoped outcome in assisting the establishment of a Christian Education Desk/Department in the LCSA.
We look forward to a blessed and fruitful time together! 🙏✨

🎉 Successful Completion of the IELM Responsible Leadership Workshop 2026 🎉
We thank God for the successful completion of the IELM Accompaniment Workshop 3: Responsible Leadership, held from 3-7 August 2026 in Benoni, South Africa. During the workshop, church leaders from across IELM reflected on progress made since 2025 and strengthened their capacity in leadership development, accountability, governance, church administration, stewardship, and responsible resource management.
The workshop challenged leaders to promote transparency, strengthen financial oversight, improve decision-making, and build sustainable church structures that support the mission ministry and sustainability of the church.
As participants return to their districts and Central Office, we pray that the lessons learned will translate into faithful, accountable, and servant leadership for the growth of IELM and the communities it serves. 🙏

Leadership Accompaniment Workshop
We are grateful to gather for our IELM (Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mozambique) Leadership Accompaniment Workshop, taking place from 3–7 August 2026 in Benoni.
This workshop brings together leaders for a time of learning, reflection, and collaboration as we focus on key areas such as church governance, financial and asset management, district or circuit planning, and shared leadership responsibilities.
We look forward to meaningful engagement, strengthening our leadership capacity, and walking together in service of the church and its mission.

Our LUCSA Health Officer is reporting an increase of HIV/AIDS infections amongst young people. This is a concern and challenges churches to teach on Positive Sexuality, which is not only about sexual identity but is also about sexual conduct. Churches have a knee-jerk reaction in teaching about this from Children's Ministry, but the reality is that at confirmation age, teenagers are already sexually active and unfortunately also victims of sexual predators.
