✨ A DAY OF FRIENDSHIP, FAITH & SALVATION ✨
Our annual Friendship Service was a truly blessed occasion as we welcomed our friends, families and visitors and shared with them what we believe as New Apostolic Christians. 🙏
The service was based on 1 John 5:8:
“And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one.”
Rector Dominic Stephanus explained that, according to our faith, the three sacraments are necessary to obtain salvation in its fullness: Holy Baptism with water, Holy Sealing through the Apostles, and Holy Communion with the body and blood of Christ.
He connected these three witnesses to the life of Jesus. At His baptism in the River Jordan, we see the water, while the Father's voice came from heaven: “This is my Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” The Holy Spirit is given to us through Holy Sealing.
Through Holy Communion, represented by the wafer with the three drops, symbolizing the Blood that Jesus shed, we remember and receive the body and blood of Christ.
These three sacraments are distinct, yet they work together and point us to Jesus Christ and the salvation He offers.
It was a beautiful opportunity to share our faith, welcome our visitors and enjoy fellowship together. ❤️
The Spirit. The Water. The Blood.
Three witnesses — agreeing as one.
