Rare Gathering of Relics!

As we celebrate America’s 250th, we have a rare opportunity to venerate the relics of American Saints and Blesseds whose lives helped shape the Catholic faith in our nation.

Many of these relics are on loan from Shrines around the country, and are only at The National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion for this short historic celebration!

This special gathering is part of the Catholic Saints of America exhibit, an “American Hall of Holiness,” honoring the Saints, Blesseds, Venerables, and Servants of God who lived, served, and gave witness to Christ in the United States.

Pray for our country, honor the holy men and women who remind us that we are “one nation under God,” and experience this rare opportunity to encounter and pray with the relics of some of the great American Saints and Blesseds at the First and Only approved Marian Apparition in the United States!

The National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion is hosting Catholic Saints of America, a special exhibit for America’s 250th birthday honoring the holy men and women who helped shape the Catholic faith in the United States — including four witnesses with ties to the Diocese of La Crosse.

The exhibit will bring together relics, speakers from across the country, a novena for our nation and a first-of-its-kind look at Saints, Blesseds, Venerables and Servants of God who lived and served in America.

It is a beautiful chance to celebrate our Catholic heritage, pray for our country and be reminded that holiness is not something far away. It has walked our roads, served our communities and helped form the Church right here in our own diocese.
