What a great time in the Lord we had at our third Thursday night of the month. We normally celebrate our birthdays and anniversaries of the month but since we had none we decided to do a special dinner for the Fathers in the church. It was a great time with some really great food. We turkey, ham, dressing, corn, beans with potatoes and the list goes on and on. Man what a spread we had. The only thing we were missing was you. We waited until an about fifteen minutes after for you but you didn’t come. But hey we do this every month so you know you have another chance. Maybe next time you can come and see for yourself just how good it is to be in the house of the Lord around fellow believers and the fun you can have. I want to thank all the ladies for the great food they prepared for us. Did I mention anything about how good it was if not it was better than good, it was great. And brother John Sandlin did a really nice job carving the bird, I think that he has done at least a few of those before. Also we are inviting you to come and join us for Sunday school and then the morning service. If you don’t have a home church, come and join us for a wonderful time in the Lord. We love and appreciate you and all are welcomed. God bless you and your family.

At the Pine View Church Birthday Meal Tonight we had the honor of celebrating the BIRTHDAY OF JOHNNY SANDLIN.
THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO CAME OUT. Special Thanks to Dawn Williams who prepared a Delicious Italian meal with delicious sauce for the spaghetti.
Complete with delicious salads and breadsticks and other sides.
Peach Cobbler, buttermilk pie, and. Cake 🎂 was a delicious finale to the meal..The Birthday/Anniversary Fellowship each month are most enjoyable.
Once again A SPECIAL BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION TO JOHNNY SANDLIN. WE ALL LOVE ❤️ YOU AND Terri Sandlin .

Today we observe Palm Sunday, and next Sunday we will celebrate Easter. You are invited to join our Sunrise Service at Pine View Church at 7:00 AM on Easter morning, followed by a breakfast fellowship at the church. Everyone is welcome to join us. We are grateful to God for the five new members who joined our church today, as well as those who renewed their membership. Also grateful for rededication of lives today in the service.
We praise God for the rich spirituality of our church, the geniune compassion shown by the congregation and the numerous blessings we have received. May Jesus Christ by Magnified and Glorifed in each service in this church. Our thanks to Jesus Christ for this church and His Blessings.

Alan Russell Furlough passed on April 6, 2026, at the age of 68.
A visitation will be held at Coble Funeral & Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1155 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, North Carolina 28412, on April 9, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

A graveside service will be held at Seagate Cemetery, 52 nd Street (Off of Oleander Drive), Wilmington , North Carolina , on April 10, 2026, at 1:00 pm.

It is with a heavy heart that we ask that you keep the Furlough family and friends in your thoughts and prayers as they continue to process the going home of Alan Furlough Monday morning at 4 am that morning. Please keep them in your prayers his wife Frances is really struggling with his passing. Thank you and God bless you.

How to Pray for Your Pastor on Saturday. 🙏🏻

Sunday doesn’t start on Sunday. It starts long before that.

If you want to strengthen your church, start by strengthening your pastor in prayer.

1. Pray for his thoughts.

Before he ever steps into the pulpit, his mind is full…people, problems, pressures, and preparation. Ask God to give him clarity, focus, and peace.

2. Pray for power.

The power is not in the man…it is in the Word he preaches. Pray that he handles it faithfully and that the Spirit empowers it mightily.

3. Pray for his health.

Clear thinking. Strong voice. Physical stamina. Preaching takes more out of a man than most people realize.

4. Pray for his encouragement.

These are not easy days to shepherd any flock. Pray that God strengthens his heart and reminds him that his labor is not in vain.

5. Pray for his message.

He has studied. He has prayed. He has prepared. Ask God to let the Word land where it needs to land — and to produce lasting fruit.

6. Pray for his family.

A distracted home makes a distracted shepherd. Cover his wife. Cover his children. Their strength is tied to his.

Take a few minutes today and pray intentionally.

Churches rise and fall on many things…but they are strengthened by praying people.

I believe in the power of prayer.

It makes a difference.
