WHBC starts a new Wednesday Night Study on September 9th at 6:15pm! Come even earlier for dinner and fellowship! Join us in the Fellowship Hall as we study "The Secret of Life: Paul's Christ-Centered Philosophy in Philippians" by F. Scott Spencer.

Explore life’s meaning through Paul’s prison letter. In "The Secret of Life", author F. Scott Spencer explores Paul's philosophy as seen in Philippians. Written from prison, where he faced a possible death
sentence, Paul's letter to the congregation at Philippi unpacks his
Christ-centered philosophy of life in deeply personal and passionate terms. He understands Christ more deeply as the dynamic force binding together all creation in God's transcendent love. The author reframes "the examined life" through a Christian lens, engaging Socrates' famous maxim while showing how Paul offers a richer understanding of what makes life meaningful. With accessible scholarship and vivid theological insight, he brings Philippians to life with clarity and depth, unpacking Paul's "Living Is Christ" motto with attention to both its immediate context and its enduring power. By tracing how prisoner Paul worked out this philosophy in real time, the book equips readers to pursue a resilient, joyful, purpose-filled faith.

Are you dealing with the loss of a spouse? WHBC is here to support you during this life change. Please join us Sunday, August 16th from 1-3pm in the Hospitality Center for a "Loss of a Spouse" Seminar.

This seminar will include:
- Practical advice from others who have been there.
- What to expect in your grief.
- How to cope with life without your spouse.
- Why it won't always hurt this much.

Additionally, if you need help and encouragement after the death of a spouse, child, family member, or friend, WHBC will be hosting a weekly "Grief Support Group". These will be held Sundays, from August 23rd to November 8th, 4-6pm in Downstairs Room B3.
