Accepting and loving myself is the beginning of self-care. As I progress along the spiritual path, it can be tempting to find things about myself I want to change, parts of myself I wish to improve, and ways in which I want to grow.

But I am so much more than a project to work on. Self-care helps me discover and love the person, the dear soul that I am. I deserve enjoyment and relaxation, time with friends and family, or maybe just some luxurious time all to myself.

What I choose to do matters less than how I treat myself. Caring for myself is not indulgence. It is love and nurturing that bless me. It is attention and acceptance that will help me grow. It is my way to honor the Divine within.

You are precious in my sight and honored and I love you.—Isaiah 43:4

Grace is the love of God, flowing to me and through me. It keeps me steeped in the awareness of God’s presence, helping me realize my life is blessed beyond measure.

Each time I recognize the beauty of God in all creation, I experience grace. I give thanks for the grace of God when everything turns out well, even though I made a choice that could have brought about less than positive results.

I am comforted as I remember I do not earn grace by my thoughts, actions, or beliefs. Grace is a wonderful gift, freely given. I receive it with a heart full of gratitude.

God’s grace infuses my every interaction. I feel blessed by each encounter and live each day knowing I am deserving of grace and worthy of God’s goodness.

And the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.—1 Timothy 1:14

I carry warm memories of special people who have blessed me over the years. Family members, significant others, friends, inspirational teachers, and spiritual guides have helped shape who I am by sharing their wisdom about life’s mysteries. Their steadfast love has supported me as I found my right course through life’s exciting, sometimes troubled times. I am a better person because of the wisdom and understanding others have shared with me.

These dear ones have provided me valuable practical skills about daily living and insights about life’s biggest questions. Most important, I have learned from these inspired teachers to turn within and find God’s ever-present, inspiring guidance, my finest source of wisdom.

How much better to get wisdom than gold! To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.—Proverbs 16:16

Knowing my oneness with the divine presence within is the source of my abundance. I begin each day with a grateful heart, taking time to center myself in God and pray. Throughout the day, I notice the blessings that surround me and rejoice in faith that all my needs are being met in perfect ways.

If thoughts of insufficiency arise, I gently refuse to give them power. There is never a lack of divine ideas. God is infinite creative power, and that power lives and moves within me. I am prosperous, living, moving, and having my being in an ocean of infinite substance. I am in the flow of abundance, trusting the more freely I give, the more richly I will receive.

And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work.—2 Corinthians 9:8

🍂 Celebrate Mabon: The Autumn Equinox 🍂

Join us as we honor the turning of the season and the second harvest—a sacred time to reflect on the year’s bounty, express gratitude for the fruits of our labor and prepare for the quieter months ahead.

Presented by Denise Creech, Shamanic Practitioner, and Canda Lambert, Certified Sound Healer, this meaningful gathering will include rhythm, sound and community connection as we celebrate the “sunset of the year.”

🥁 Please bring a drum or another simple rhythm-maker—two sticks, two rocks, a plastic egg filled with rice or even a bottle of vitamins will work. No fancy instrument required!
