Time to mark your calendar for the Columbus Baptist Association's Annual Celebration, Tuesday, October 20, at Pleasant Plains Baptist Church, 31 Pleasant Plains Church Road, Whiteville. Supper is at 5:30pm and the Celebration is at 6:30pm. Dr. Sandy Marks, Pastoral and Church Health Strategist with the Baptist State Convention of NC will be our guest speaker. Plan now to be at this special celebration of what God has done throughout this past year and what He will do in this coming year. Please make sure that your church messengers are registered with Teresa prior to this meeting.

We need some volunteers to help us set up for our Backpack Packing Party on Tuesday, September 15 at 9:00am at the CBA Office. Volunteers will unpack boxes, open up food items, and prepare the bags for our Packing Party the following week. Let me know if you can help us out!!

We have added several more training opportunities to get trained as a counselor for the Encounter Crusade. If you are interested in becoming a counselor, all you need to do is attend one of these training sessions. No reservation necessary, just show up at the date, time, and location most convenient for you. One session is required of anyone who wishes to become a counselor for the Crusade. We need to train 200 counselors. Which one will you attend?? Make your plan today!

The Columbus Baptist Association has signs to help get the word out to vote “NO” on all three referendums about allowing the sale of alcohol in unincorporated areas of Columbus County, in the coming election this November.
Signs are $5 each (just to help us cover the cost of the sign). If we want to defeat these referendums, we must stand together and vote!
Get your sign at the CBA Office-208 S. Thompson Street in Whiteville anytime Monday-Wednesday, 8:30am-4:30pm.
