Tonight during youth we had a Mission Night doing some things for our church, but before that we all, including the leaders took a self evaluation test overlooking our spiritual walk. I have to say, it really opens your eyes as to what we are truly leaving out during our spiritual journey. Leaving tonight I am confident in what areas I need to work on. I highly suggest trying one out, you'd be shocked to see where we are struggling at. If you love God as much as we Do you always want to make sure you are giving everything back to HIM!

Yes, what you see here is 20 members of Cerro Gordo Baptist Church, 10 of those being active youth members making a sacrifice that most people won't make. This group left at 4 am last Saturday 7/13 and spent a week working, evangelizing and building community with complete strangers in the heart of Baltimore Maryland. We all left excited and returned to Columbus County ECSTATIC, ON FIRE FOR GOD! We refuse to go back to the norms of religion and place GOD at the front for everyone to see. Baltimore, you were a blessing to us and will forever be in our hearts and prayers. There were several other churches and participants involved with helping make this mission project successful and we made community with them as well. To all the churches and participants at Baltimore we love you, miss you and continue to pray as you've returned home and faced with the decisions to either stay consumed in God's holy Spirit and show HIM you love or allow the norms to take back over and hit your cruise control until another spiritual movement.

Tonight was impactful during youth group. We learned that sometimes you have battles that you struggle with, even as followers of Christ and we have to trust God to help us fight those battles(hence the balancing battle game lol). We also discussed that we must leave our self-centered ways behind us and become servants for God, we need to be mission minded and ready to embrace all God's journeys for us. The Holy Spirit swarmed our room tonight and we all, including our leaders were touched! This is what it's all about, a generation of change!

Tonight was such an awesome night spent with our youth. We had some team building activities and then on to a message about how to build relationships that create avenues to introduce God to someone. You have to learn to listen and respond correctly as Jesus would during his time. Remember, when we see our reflection in the mirror, we should see a resemblance of Jesus.

I just want to take a moment to Thank everyone who made our Steak plate sale successful yesterday. To the ones who worked, supported, donated and purchased it wouldn't have been possible without you all...THANK YOU! God Blessed Cerro Gordo Baptist and HE has BIG things in store for our church. You all blessed so many Children and teenagers to have experiences GOD has planned for them. Thank You again for being there and making it all possible. GOD BLESS you all!
