Rector’s Letter on the Proposed Amendments to the Virginia Constitution
Dearest parishioners and friends of Grace Anglican,
Over the years, when important state or nationwide issues have raised significant moral and theological concerns for the body of Christ and the world, I have written to share my perspective with you, so that you will know clearly where I stand and, if desired, to offer my pastoral and biblical perspective in support of your own consideration of these issues. Pastors, as biblical shepherds, are tasked with not only teaching ‘what accords with sound doctrine,’ but also with the work of “oversight, protection, provision, care and guidance of the flock” of God.
In this regard, I am writing to draw your attention to an important biblical issue arising from a proposed constitutional amendment question that will appear on the ballot for Virginia voters next week, on Election Day, November 3, 2026.......
