We are continuing our journey through the Sermon on the Mount tomorrow. If you have spent any time around the Bible or around people who have, you have almost certainly heard something from this passage before, and there is a good chance some of what you have heard has been incomplete. Matthew 7:1 is likely one of the most quoted and least understood (maybe intentionally) verses in the New Testament. It gets used as a weapon, dismissed with word games, and skimmed past without ever being allowed to impact our hearts.
What Jesus is saying in this text is deep, powerful, wonderful, and practical. I would encourage you to spend a few moments reading through the Sermon on the Mount, pray for our time together, and plan on joining us as we worship together.
Also plan to join us for a meal after our service tomorrow, you are welcome to bring a side or simply come and eat with us!
