Please consider joining us Nov. 1-8 at the cemetery grotto to pray a rosary for the poor souls in Purgatory. During this special week, the Church offers us the chance to obtain a plenary indulgence for a deceased soul each day. Imagine being able to offer this precious gift to as many as eight souls! Below is our prayer schedule:
Sunday, November 1, at 11:15 AM
Monday, November 2, at 12:30 PM
Tuesday, November 3, at 5:30 PM
Wednesday, November 4, at 5:30 PM
Thursday, November 5, at 12:30 PM
Friday, November 6, at 12:30 PM
Saturday, November 7, at 9:30 AM
Sunday, November 8, at 11:15 AM
To obtain the plenary indulgence, one must:
*Visit a cemetery and pray for the deceased
*Go to confession either 20 days before or after
*Receive Holy Communion for each plenary indulgence, preferably on the same day
*Pray for the intentions of the Holy Father (we will do this together during our rosary)
*Be completely detached from all sin, including venial sin. If complete detachment from sin is lacking, a partial indulgence can still be obtained.
PLEASE don't be discouraged if you can't come every day or fulfill all of these requirements. Come when you can! God knows our hearts, and no prayer is ever wasted.
