"This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it" - Psalm 118: 24.

How many got up this morning and were excited to go to work! Tell the truth! Your day is the Lord's. You can choose to embrace Him and rejoice, or you can choose to let it keep you down. There is no reason to be all "mule lipped" as my pastor would say. Find joy in the Lord, rejoice, and be glad!

" for the joy of the Lord is your strength" - Nehemiah 8:10

REMINDER: We have our fellowship dinner tonight at our Holly Ridge location. 36 LA-183, Rayville, Louisiana 71269. We start gathering and fellowshipping about 5 pm, we will bless the food about 5:15. No worries if you run a bit late, it will take a bit for everyone to get through the line.

Do you always do what you think is right?

I was thinking about this last night. We were studying Psalms 81: 10-12. "I am the Lord your God, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt; Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it. 11 "But My people would not heed My voice, And Israel would have none of Me. 12 So I gave them over to their own stubborn heart, To walk in their own cousel."

Walking in their own counsel. This reminded me of the very last verse of Judges. "In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes." - Judges 21:25

Very simple point here, we are not supposed to do what we think is right, but what God says is right. Israel is an example of how bad it can be when people do what they think is right and don't follow God. The end of Judges time period is a very low point in Israels history, because they had gotten away from God. He was not "King" in thier lives.

Very simply, we are to walk in the ways of the Lord. Not just because it works better that way, which it does, but because He is King of our lives. Lord of our lives. Because He is the King of Glory. (see Psalms 24).

"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." - Matthew 6:33
