Everyone is invited to our Gospel meeting Aug, 9-11 at the N 5th St Cuhrch of Christ in West Monroe, La.
Services Friday and Saturday will begin at 7 pm each evening with refreshments following.
Sunday services will be at 10am and 1:30 pm. Lunch will be served following the morning service.
Our guest speaker will be brother Chad Fisher from Brookhaven Mississippi.

This morning was a reminder of how we sometimes take things for granted. As we walked into the church building we discovered we were without both lights and heat. After weighing our options,( 1. dismiss and reassemble later in the day or 2. assemble in one of our members homes or 3. simply dismiss altogether.) we chose to bundle up and assemble in our fellowship area where we had sufficient window light to see our bibles and hymnals. Thankfully, everything went smoothly but more importantly we found encouragement and joy in choosing to worship our Lord Jesus together despite our unexpected little inconvenience, which turned out to be an extra blessing for all. Thank you Jesus!

Mark your calendars for a special day that is coming up on the fifth Sunday of this month. On October 31st Rick Bostick will be our guest speaker that morning plus we hope to have lunch together following the service.
Rick has preached for us before and we are looking forward to having him back.

Congratulations to Shane and Amy Mock who recently celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary. May they have many more happy years together!

Sally Hearn is recovering well following cataract surgery last week. We pray she continues to improve.

Thanks to Tom Bennett who filled the pulpit in my absence Sunday July 11th. It was a blessing for all those who were able to be with us that day.

If your reading this then you should know you are always welcome to worship with us at the N. 5th St. Church of Christ in West Monroe. We currently are meeting at 10 am every Sunday morning. This Sunday we will be studying together the question of why so many people are leaving churches in America.

We hope you can be with us for this study.

Sunday, January 31st Bryan Franklin from the Hill Ave Church of Christ in Fayetteville, Arkansas will be our speaker for both services beginning at 10 am. Lunch will be provided following the morning worship and everyone is invited to be with us. At 1:00 pm we will again assemble for our closing afternoon service.
We hope you will make plans to be with us.

Our plans for the fifth Sunday, August 30th have changed. Bro. Dennis Gage will not be able speak for us that day but will be re-scheduled for next year.

However, we will have a guest speaker that fifth Sunday. Bro. Noah Waller from Eldorado, Ar. Is a recent graduate of the university of Arkansas but most importantl, he has a love for the Word and for Christ’s Church. He has spoken a few times for congregations in Rogers and Fayetteville Arkansas. We look forward to hearing him and invite everyone who reads this post to join us.

We will also be providing lunch in the fellowship area for Noah and anyone else who wants to join us. Some may not yet feel comfortable eating together and that’s ok. But if you do, come share a covered dish with the the others and enjoy our fellowship together.

We regret having to cancel our service this Sunday, March 22, with our special speaker Chad Fisher. We have re-scheduled him for November.
In the meantime services here are cancelled until April 1.
We will reassess the virus situation and make a determination about future worship services at that time. Until then our members are encouraged to meet in their homes and to invite others, if they choose, to worship in a “house church” arrangement.

Join us Sunday, March 22nd for a special day of worship, with guest speaker Chad Fisher from Brookhaven MS. Service begins at 10am followed by a covered-dish lunch in our fellowship area. An early afternoon service is planned immediately after lunch and will conclude our time together.
