Our two short term missionaries have returned from North Africa! They reported to be immensely blessed by the church there. Praise God that Gospel seeds are being planted! May God continue to grow His church in hard places. Thank you to everyone who prayed and supported.

(We will be keeping the exact location undisclosed on public platforms and livestreams for the safety of the church and the missionaries stationed there. If you’d like to know more, ask James Davison for details)

Hey Fair Park family! Is going on a mission trip to share the Gospel a part of your New Year’s resolutions? See the graphic below to check out some opportunities we’ll have in 2025!

These are opportunities to share Jesus outside of our community, partnering with fellow churches all over this country and world. Also listed are Interest Meetings, which will serve to explain each trip and help decide if the Lord is calling you to go to one on one of these particular missions. We all get to participate in these missions through prayer and support!

While not listed, there are opportunities throughout the year to serve with Samaritans Purse Disaster Relief. Volunteers may sign up and participate at any time a need is present with Samaritans Purse. Please talk with Dennis Robinson if you are interested in SP Disaster Relief.

If you have any questions regarding these missions opportunities, please contact James Davison.

Please be in prayer for the communities affected by the recent hurricanes such as Francine and Helene, as well as the communities in the path of incoming Hurricane Milton. We have an opportunity as Fair Park to go and serve those affected by Hurricane Francine in Houma Louisiana. A team will leave West Monroe on Sunday, October 27th and return Friday, November 1st to work with Samaritan’s Purse assisting with tree work, debris cleanup, and other relief efforts. Essentially, we will love the homeowners and those we come across in the name of Jesus! The team will stay at Life Church at 2324 Coteau Road, Houma, LA 70364. Volunteers will use their own vehicle to travel to Houma or carpool with others going. All meals in Houma will be provided by Samaritans Purse. Please visit this link to learn more about what to expect, pack, and forms to complete. If you cannot go but would like to financially support the travel expenses of those going to serve, please contact the church office at 318-396-6306.

Southern Baptist Disaster Relief teams are rapidly deploying to serve in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina and Virginia. Send Relief’s regional quick-response warehouse and tractor-trailers loaded with supplies have deployed resources to areas of highest need. The North American Mission Board (NAMB) is working with our national partners to ensure a coordinated response. Your tithes, as well as gifts to SBC Missions and Annie Armstrong Easter Offering provides support to Disaster Relief by providing food, water, debris removal and more. Thank you for giving!

You can help Send Relief bring hope and help amid the hurricane relief and other crises by praying and giving:

Pray:
Pray for churches in the areas of devastation as they work to meet their neighbors’ needs and share the love of Jesus with storm-weary communities.

Give:
If you would like to give a special gift for Hurricane Relief, please click the link below and give to "North America: Annie Armstrong" fund.

GO:
If you are interested in going to help with Disaster Relief, please see James Davison. We are organizing a group to go the last week of October or first week of November to work with Samaritan's Purse.
