At Portland Pride, West Linn Lutheran Church, the Oregon Synod of the ELCA, the Episcopal Diocese of Oregon, and the Central Pacific Conference of the United Church of Christ joined together in a shared witness of welcome.

At a time when legislation targeting q***r people continues to advance and the threat to same-sex marriage remains real, Pride is more important than ever as a sign of resistance, solidarity, and hope.

At the center was the Sacred Space Tent, an ecumenical sanctuary where people could pause, pray, share a story, have a selfie with Jesus or simply rest. In the midst of music and celebration, it offered a quiet reminder that the Holy is often found in presence, compassion, openness and fun.

There are so many people to thank, Dianne Eller and her sidewalk team, Molli Mitchell, John Barton, Brendan Barnicle for helping coordinate all of this!

Then we have all the wonderful volunteers at the Sacred Space Tent and organizers, Katy Rustvold Elizabeth Larson just to name a few! Thanks also go out to David Eppelsheimer Sara Gross Samuelson for being supportive and Laurie Larson Caesar for allocating funds to this important ministry!

Some ministries count what is given. Others become the place where heaven quietly breaks into the ordinary.

At the Father's Heart Ministry in Oregon City, every shared meal is more than nourishment. It is a table where strangers become kin, where the holy hides in plain sight, and where grace moves from hand to hand like living light.

West Linn Lutheran Church is grateful to be woven into this sacred web, joining countless hearts in a work that feels older than memory itself. As the prophet whispers, "Enlarge the place of your tent" (Isaiah 54:2), and as Jesus reminds us, "I am the bread of life" (John 6:35), we trust that every loaf broken in love becomes a sign that God's kingdom is already among us, quietly multiplying in ways no one can fully explain.

Join us at Pride 2026 in North Park Blocks in Portland Oregon! We will gather at Noon on July 19th with a blessing and then march in the parade! It's important now more than ever to lift up our Q***r Siblings in Christ!

Yet another great morning yesterday preparing food for the Father's Heart Ministry Meal.We are so thankful for this ministry that we are able to provide folks who don't necessarily have a meal to go home to or even a home.
