Jesus did not hide from our sin, He died becoming sin for us to kill the power of sin over us.

We died with Christ. “One died therefore all died” (2 Cor. 5:14).

Paul explains, “God was in Christ Jesus reconciling the cosmos to Himself, not counting our sins against us and has given us the ministry of reconciliation”(2 Cor. 5:19).

Grace is not a bit of generosity God gives us to kickstart salvation so we can put in the “real work” to finish it... Grace is the eternal nature of God from which all Creation began. Grace is Him. Salvation is ALL Him—His work—start to finish. Hence, Jesus said, “It is finished!”

Even faith is a gift. The “work” is simply believe. This is WHY we can believe. This is WHY good works are prepared in advance for us to do. Behold. Believe. Abide. See John 19:28-30, Eph. 2:8-10, 2 Cor. 5:19, John 15.
