✨Happy Memorial Day✨

Today we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to others. 🇺🇸 We especially wanted to highlight on our Late Ta’ita’i Aoao, Pr. Alaimoana Willie Papu on this Memorial Day 2026.

Papu served in the United States Marine from 1958 to (about) 1963. During his time in the service, he was stationed in El Toro San Diego and fought in the Vietnam War just a year before his Honorable Discharge. After serving his country, he unselfishly served the rest of his life in God’s work until he was called to rest on February 17, 2026.

The last time Pr. Willie visited us in the Northwest was in 2022. Here, he shared the message of focusing on our loyalty to God’s Truth rather than loyalty to the name of a church.

As we remember the sacrifices of many, may we also reflect on the greatest love of all — laying down one’s life for another.

‘Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.’ — John 15:13 ❤️
