Excited to partner with WeCAN on this and collect winter items- we have a bin directly outside the church office!

Even though it doesn't feel like it outside, winter is on its way!

Our yearly winter coat drive is officially underway - we are collecting new and gently used coats, boats and winter gear (hats, gloves, scarves). Drop off at WeCAN or any of our other many drop off locations: Hilltop, Shirley Hills, Westonka Middle School, Mount Calvary in Excelsior, Good Shepherd in Navarre, Lafayette Club, Lyndale Lutheran Church in Independence, St John's Lutheran Church of Mound, MN, Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Community, St. Martins by the Lake Church, St. Boniface Catholic Church, Mound Evangelical Free Church, Bethel of Mound, 21st Century Bank in Loretto, MidCountry Bank, The Bank of Maple Plain, First Presbyterian Church of Maple Plain, Artessa Living in Mound, or Edina Realty Wayzata.

On the 25th anniversary of 9/11, we remember the lives lost and hold all who mourn in prayer.

In the days following 9/11, our global Lutheran partners shared words of prayer and solidarity:

"We join you in the spiritual battle and prayer for forgiveness and love knowing that the battle is not ours but God's, and that the truth and God's victory will always prevail." —LWF Regional Office for Africa (Kenya)

"May there be ways to comfort the mourners as well as the survivors, and may the church be part of that work. May all the deceased rest in peace." —Church of Sweden

"Your pain is our pain. We were shocked to watch this unprecedented act of violence and terrorism. We therefore share your sadness and sorrow for the loss of so many innocent lives." —Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan

"May God help us resist the forces of evil and spread peace in the world." —Protestant Church of the Augsburg Confession of Alsace and Lorraine

We are still in need of donations of items for our kid food bags!

Every summer and during long school breaks, we pack bags of simple to prepare, kid friendly food items to distribute to our clients whose children are home from school. This helps to make sure that kids are getting something to eat every day and no kid goes hungry.

Drop your donations off at WeCAN or you can buy them on our Amazon Wishlist and have them sent directly here. Find the Amazon Wishlist here: https://a.co/091gKy0R
