Christ King Parish is a Roman Catholic Parish & School located in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin (USA) and is part of the larger Archdiocese of Milwaukee, which includes nearly 200 parishes and more than 500,000 Catholics across 10 southeastern counties! The parish includes a day care, K3-8th grade school, a rich faith formation program and a wide range of service and ministry opportunities. Our school (ext

ended care and K3-8th grade) has a strong sense of Catholic identity, which is evident in daily prayer, weekly liturgies, and frequent participation in Catholic sacraments. These help strengthen children’s relationship to Jesus. Faith and values-based discussions are part of all classes helping children to look beyond themselves and instill a sense of service to others in school, their homes, their parish, and both the local and global community. Spaghetti, teamwork, and a little friendly competition. 🍝

Third graders worked together to see who could build the tallest spaghetti tower. The challenge brought out lots of creativity, teamwork, and some pretty impressive towers!

Last week in religion class, our 6th graders spent time learning about how God reveals Himself to us through His Son, Jesus, and exploring the many ways we can notice God in our everyday lives, through Scripture, nature, and others.

Students wrote their own prayers of petition and created a classroom Western Wall to hold their prayers. They then shared and prayed for one another’s intentions.

Is there a better story?
Why do we exist?
How does everything connect?

Alpha is a place to ponder these big questions. It’s a chance to talk with neighbors, right in our own neighborhood. Join the conversation and see where it goes.
Alpha is a weekly series of group conversations where you’ll gather over food, explore the basics of the Christian faith, ask questions, and get to know others in a relaxed setting.

A few little moments from last week at school.

🌿 In 2nd grade, students headed outside for a campus scavenger hunt and some valuable time in nature. Along the way, they couldn’t pass by Mary without stopping to say a prayer.

👐 In 4th grade, students used Play-Doh and a few fun prompts to answer questions, share a little about themselves, and get to know their classmates a little better. A fun way to learn something new about a friend!

Sunday evening brought our Christ King parish and school community together for our first Family Prayer & Social of the year. Families gathered to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet and enjoyed pizza and conversation together.

We’re grateful for these opportunities to gather, connect, and grow in faith as one community.

Our Family Prayer & Socials are open to all parish and school families. We’d love to see you at the next one on October 4 from 4–6 pm. RSVP link in comments.

The rain stopped just in time for our community to gather Saturday and celebrate the start of a new school year together at Hoyt Pool.

There was plenty of fun, lots of smiles, and a great reminder of what makes our school community so special. Thanks to everyone who joined us and helped kick off the year together!

Maybe you’re a bell ringer and just don’t know it yet.

No bell-ringing experience? No problem! Our Bell Choir is looking for new members, and we’ll teach you the bells. All you need is a basic ability to read music and an interest in making music with a fun group of people and, you're in!

The sound of bells adds something beautiful to our worship. Your hands could help make it happen.

Rehearsal: Wednesdays, 5:15–6:30 PM
Location: Back of the nave
Ringing: Once a month, typically at the 8:00 AM Sunday Mass
First rehearsal: Wednesday, September 9

What does it mean to belong?
What if belonging was profoundly better than fitting in?
What if?
