I wanted to share one final post about our super successful VBS, which took place from August 10th-14th. We were blessed with 15 of our VBS participants and one teen helper singing to the congregation last Sunday....priceless!

We also raised money through Operation Kid-2-Kid all week, and the kids brought coins each day. The money raised will be sent to World Vision to provide fruit trees for families in Central America. The kids raised $525 in coins, and our generous members added another $95 on Sunday for a total of $620. That will provide trees for nearly 70 families - how awesome is that?

Finally, our kids shared testimonials about their week together, and here are a few "snippets" that personify the impact of VBS:
"I like that we can raise money to help kids that have less than we do. This year I really liked the Imagination Station when we made bubbles inside of bubbles! I also liked that I got to be in a group with my cousin Logan and having Tanner and Grace as my leaders." - Easton Hornung
"I loved Wild Games and Imagination Station because I got to learn new things and help my team. The snacks are yummy! I can't wait for next year." - Warren Kroner
"We had so much fun at Vacation Bible School! Logan's favorite part was playing all the games, and Jovie especially loved the snacks - both making them and, of course, eating them! We both loved Imagination Station and couldn't stop talking about all the fun things we got to do there. And we've been singing the VBS songs all week long! We had such a great time and can't wait for VBS next year!" - Logan and Jovie Haertel
"I loved singing music and eating hot dogs with friends and family at the picnic." - Will Sitzberger
"It was really fun and competitive! The activities, snacks, singing, and games were very fun! I want to come back next year!" - Alessio Ramirez

Vacation Bible School ended on a high note yesterday, with a celebratory presentation in front of parents and grandparents, followed by our traditional hot dog lunch.

The kids were awesome, and our volunteers made sure that the week was a booming success.

We look forward to the VBS kids singing during Worship tomorrow morning. Please come and join us....I know the kids will bring a smile to your face.

We are having an INCREDIBLE week of Rainforest Falls VBS!! I thought it would be fun to share some photos of our 57 attendees, 13 teen helpers, and 14 adult volunteers in action....lots of smiles as they move from station to station.

You will also see the "magic" of our Social Hall being transformed into a rainforest by Cathy Denny....our decorating rock star!

We look forward to our last two days together! :)
