AS WE KNOW FROM DRIVING AROUND TOWN it is orange-cone season and the streets around all of our parishes also will be decorated with street construction markers as we move into summer.
> Stark Street, the east-west street on the north side of the St. Michael campus, including the parking lot, will be undergoing reconstruction beginning June 9. The city has committed to keeping one of the two parking lot entrances open throughout the project for access to Newman-St. Michael Early Childhood Center and parish purposes. The parking lot between Stark and Dekalb Streets will be accessible from Dekalb, which offers another option.
> Work has already begun in the Resurrection neighborhood on the reconstruction of Grant Street from the intersection of First Street to Second Street. While the Second Street intersection will always be accessible on weekends, there may be limited access during the week.
> There is also road work on Bridge Street around St. Anne, but impact should be rather limited.
