On Sunday, May 31, 2026, Nebraska Synod ELCA closing worship was held with 7 Parish Ministry Associates (PMA) being certified. Myrna Seagren from Thabor, Wausa was certified as a PMA by Synod staff with blessings from NE Synod ELCA Bishop Scott Johnson and ELCA Churchwide Bishop Yehiel Curry. During the laying on of hands ceremony she was joined by her mentor, Pastor Janelle Siffring, Creighton and Plainview; Her husband, John Seagren; Her PMA advisor at Thabor, PMA Dick Bloomquist and supporter, Elaine Bloomquist. PMA Dick celebrates 20 years as a certified PMA this year and was recognized as such in the Bulletin of Reports!
