ANNOUNCEMENTS for Grace of God Church:

1. ANCIENT TORAH SCROLL – This Thursday, March 26th at 7:00 p.m. at the Wausa School Gym, is your chance to come and see a 200-year-old Hebrew Torah Scroll. This scroll display provides an incredible opportunity to view a piece of biblical history and learn what the transmission process of Scripture looked like. Ben Blowers, Director of Ratio Christi in Lincoln, will be is the presenter. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

2. POTLUCK SUNDAY – This Sunday, March 29th, a potluck meal will follow the 10:00 a.m. morning worship service. Bring your favorite dish and come enjoy a time of good conversation and fellowship with your Church family. Table service will be provided.

3. SPRING FUNDRAISER CONCERT AT GLAD TIDINGS BIBLE CAMP - Glad Tidings Bible Camp will be hosting a Spring Fundraiser Concert on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Camp. Invite your friends, and come to hear from local talented musicians such as Kevin and Heidi Cheng (Lynch NE); The FaithKeepers Band (Bloomfield NE); and Restore Church Worship Team (Yankton SD). Camp Glad Tidings Bible Camp hopes to see you there for fellowship through music & refreshments!

4. MAUNDY THURSDAY SERVICE – On Thursday, April 2nd at 7:00 p.m., all are welcome to come and experience the Easter story in a new way with a traditional Passover meal, called “The Seder”, which is celebrated on the Thursday before Easter as a part of Holy Week. Special foods will be served and tasted during The Seder to remember the Passover story. (A full meal will not be served. PLEASE SIGN UP AT THE CHURCH or let Anna Walling (402- 640-7636) or Deb Hoffman (402-750-9395) know if you will be attending so the Worship Committee has an idea of how many to plan for.

5. EASTER SUNDAY – We hope you can join us on Resurrection Sunday, April 5th, as we reach the culmination of Holy Week. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the most important event of the Christian faith and the very foundation of all Christian doctrine.

6. MERCY MEALS – On May 13, 2026, at 6:30 p.m., Grace of God Church will be serving at Mercy Meals in Norfolk to pack meals. The mission of Mercy Meals is to help fight world hunger and reverse the effects of malnutrition globally. Mercy Meals of Nebraska is a non-profit organization that allows volunteers to package nourishing food that will be delivered by the Orphan Grain Train to children in need throughout the world. PLEASE SIGN UP AT THE CHURCH IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO PARTICIPATE or let Paula Bruegman (402-640-7875) or Rhonda Surface (402-841-4281) know. Carpooling from Grace of God Church at 5:20 p.m. on May 13th will be available.

7. GUEST SPEAKERS - Grace of God Church will have the following guest speakers who will give the message during the 10:00 a.m. worship service:
Justin Burcham (Crofton) – one Sunday per month (dates will be announced when determined)
Colby Raulston (Wayne) – Sunday, April 19th

8. COINS & ARTIFACTS FROM THE TIME OF CHRIST – Dan Vakoc from Verdigre will be displaying and discussing his ancient coins and artifacts collection from the time of Christ. The tentative date for this amazing presentation is Sunday, May 31st, at 1:00 p.m. Dan’s collection started about 14 years ago when he told his wife, Wilma, that he wanted to build a collection from the time of Christ and then share it with groups or anyone who showed an interest. His collection ties Bible stories together into something real that can be held from that era.

9. ORPHAN GRAIN TRAIN - As you are doing your spring cleaning this year and find items you no longer want or need, please consider giving them to the ORPHAN GRAIN TRAIN in Norfolk. There is information in the entryway of the Church with the Orphan Grain Train’s “Wish List” along with containers for you to place your donated items in. Paula Bruegman will deliver everything received to the Orphan Grain Train in Norfolk and if you have any questions, you may also call Paula at 402-640-7875.

10. ADULT BIBLE STUDY - Meets at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings at Grace of God Church. Everyone is welcome to attend!

11. SAMARITAN’S PURSE OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD YEAR-ROUND SHOEBOX SHOPPING – The month of March is QUALITY CRAFTS and the month of April is STUFFED ANIMALS.

ANNOUNCEMENTS for Grace of God Church:

1. PLEASE BRING YOUR ZOECARE BABY BOTTLES BACK TO CHURCH THIS SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 22!!
This Sunday, February 22nd, is the last day for the Baby Bottle Boomerang event through ZoeCare (see the attachment to this email). ZoeCare is located at 2007 Locust St. in Yankton, SD, and is a pregnancy resource center that offers women’s health services to local areas in Nebraska, South Dakota and Iowa. The money collected from the baby bottles will be returned to ZoeCare to support the free services they provide. Grace of God Church will also be matching the amount received in the baby bottles up to $250. Thank you for everyone for your support of ZoeCare and the Baby Bottle Boomerang event!!

2. Please keep Pat and Duane Wilken and their family in your prayers as Pat’s mother, Betty J. Walmsley, passed away this past Tuesday, February 17th.
NORFOLK – Funeral service for Betty J. Walmsley, 92 of Norfolk, will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, February 23, 2026 at Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk. Officiating the service will be Pastor Neal Brower. Burial will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Norfolk. Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 PM, Sunday at Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk. The service will be live-streamed on the Stonacek Funeral Chapel website at https://www.stonacekfuneralchapel.com/obituaries/betty-walmsley/ #!/PhotosVideos. Betty died on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Heritage of Bel Air Nursing Home in Norfolk. Stonacek Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

We support Operation Christmas Child by collecting shoebox-sized items throughout the year. Each month we’ll highlight a specific need. January’s focus: small toys. Donations can be dropped off at church.

ANNOUNCEMENTS for Grace of God Church:

1. This Sunday, November 30th, there will be a Membership Ceremony during the morning worship service for anyone who is interested in joining Grace of God Church. Attached to this email is the Grace of God Church Bylaws, Membership Agreement, and Membership Ceremony for your review. One of the church membership requirements is that you participate in a Membership Ceremony at a regular church service to profess your membership in Grace of God Church. Therefore, if you wish to join as a member, you can let a Church Council member (Duane, Butch, Denny, Deb H., or Rhonda) know in advance or you can also inform us on Sunday morning. If this Sunday does not work for you, arrangements can be made for you to become a member on any Sunday that is convenient for you.

2. This Sunday, November 30th, is also “Potluck Sunday” at Grace of God Church following the worship service!! Everyone is welcome to come and share in the delicious food and enjoy a time of fellowship. After the potluck, the Worship Committee is planning to decorate the Church for Christmas, and everyone is invited to stay and help if they would like to!

3. Party Club for children in Preschool through 6th grade will be held at Grace of God Church on Monday, December 1st, from 3:45 to 5:00 p.m. The theme for the December Party Club is the “True Gift of Christmas”. (Please see the poster that is attached.) Party Club is held at the Church the first Monday of each month unless there is no school that day. Please spread the word about Party Club to your children, grandchildren, and neighbor children!! If you are interested with helping with snacks, there is a sign-up sheet at the Church.

4. Every year in December, the Churches in Bloomfield participate in the Yankton Area Banquet where a meal is served to those in need at the Yankton United Church of Christ, 210 W. 5th Street. This year the banquet is on Thursday, December 4th, and help from our Church is needed for food prep (3:00-5:00 pm), serving food/and clean up (5:00-7:00 pm). Bars or cookies can also be provided. Attached to this email is the sign-up sheet showing the slots that are still available. If you are interested in helping, please sign-up at church this Sunday or let Rhonda know by December 2nd.

5. On Sunday, December 7th, Pastor Justin Raulston will be giving the message during the morning worship service at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Justin has given the message at Grace of God Church twice before and his messages have been very meaningful and insightful.

6. Also, on Sunday, December 7th, at God’s Country Barn north of Center, JUST THE MESSENGERS will be presenting an afternoon of music starting at 3:00 p.m. followed by food and fellowship. A poster giving more
details about this event is attached.

7. Thank you to everyone who participated in providing items and packing the shoeboxes for the SAMARITAN’S PURSE – Operation Christmas Child. Grace of God Church packed 86 shoeboxes, First Trinity Lutheran Church packed 78 shoeboxes, and St. Mark’s Lutheran Church packed 10 shoeboxes for a TOTAL OF 174 SHOEBOXES!!! Praise God for this Samaritan’s Purse ministry and remember to be in prayer for the delivery of each shoebox to just the right child! Also attached to this email are “Boy and Girl Shoebox Gift Suggestions” in case you want to start shopping for next year!!

8. And lastly, please keep the family of Amy Willats in your thoughts and prayers. Don, Amy’s husband, texted me on Thursday afternoon to say that Amy passed away that morning (Thanksgiving Day). Many of you knew Don and Amy as they were part of the Bloomfield community and United Methodist Church for many years before they moved to Scottsbluff to be closer to family. Don’s address is 320 E. 42nd St., Apt. S102, Scottsbluff, NE 69361-1692.
